We're not above repeating the Politico's Anne Schroeder's shout-out to Whispers today.

She wrote:

Sweet As ...

It's kind of weird, but U.S. News' Washington Whispers columnist Paul Bedard has bees—and beehives. He and his wife are beekeepers. OK, people? He lives in the country, where you can do that sort of thing. And just to be certain: It has nothing to do with global warming, either. Anyway, their Hubba Hubba Honey got fourth place Monday at the Loudoun County Fair. One of those silly-looking bear jars can be yours for the taking for five bucks.

Hubba, hubba.

Says Bedard: "Fourth place isn't so bad. Now I know how Mitt Romney and Bill Richardson feel."

Of course, I meant that as a good thing. Next year, we, like they, expect to be in first place.
