U.S. News Announces First-Ever National STEM Convention

Why is this conference not being offered via webinars and other technology so that parents and teachers, many of whom cannot afford the cost of attending (travel, registration, hotel, meals), can be actively involved?
After all, this is a conference about STEM education which includes technology. Nothing much will change until there is grassroots involvement by taxpayers who foot the bill for Pre-K - 16 public education. And most taxpayers can't afford to "vacation" in Dallas to attend this conference in person.
