How High Gas Prices Could Help Obama

Average price of gas in the US is $3.80??? In Oregon we are paying $4.09 to $4.19 for regular gas. That's far away from $3.80...

Watch out for those sin waves.

israel wants an end of obamas goverment therefore it will start making noise with iran in september to push the oil prices up. the only way to prevent that for obama is to have always one foot ready to support the syrian opposition that is what israel fears most and therefore will force it to play nice with obama.

I appreciate the article but it does not dig deep enough. Two years ago domestic oil was at a surplus and demand in the states was low. this caused selling of American oil surplus overseas which raised our oil prices!! Every election year in September oil prices drop. We are obviously being manipulated by big oil and politics. Maybe you can delve a little deeper and find out who these players really are and what we can do to stop them!!

" There's a saying among oil analysts: The best cure for high oil prices is high oil prices. That's because when rising prices cause enough pain, they tend to generate changes in behavior that bring prices back down again."

Bullshít. Gasoline is at it's lowest domestic utilization in 15 years.

"gas-price swings, which tend to occur like a sin wave,"

So what your saying is that our only chance for cheap gas is to elect Santorum and give him the power he needs to break the wave of sin?

(Forgive me Lord, I realize Im one of the worst spellers in the world)

My prediction as well as my suggestion: This will be the least blood shed and best for the arab world and especially the citizens of Iran.

Impose a blockade, of Iran Oil exports, while air dropping food and medical supplies to Iranian citizens, during the duration of the crisis.

This blockade will send oil prices soaring for a short time, but will stop the nuclear arms proliferation of the arab world. By enforcing a UN led blockade of Iranian oil tankers, the world could force Iran to allow nuclear inspectors, and essentially halt there alleged nuke weapons program.

By essentially cutting off Iran's income stream, the world could become much safer and hopefully there would be no blood shed involving middle eastern countries. I fear that if a plan like this is not invoked this crisis will come to a head in roughly june 2012 - and if not resolved the entire middle east will become nuclear and essentially make our world more dangerous than it already is.

My goal here is that a congressmen, military leader or the president himself may read this little post,, and give my idea some thought,, to me a average citizen of the United States of America,, this idea is roughly the same as the naval blockade of Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis years ago.. Please forgive me if this blockade was never carried out or not, im not so good on history,, but essentially the same idea,, i hope is considered.
