Could it be that the Catholic Church common sense approach opposition to the birth control mandate is because they don't want their membership to diminish. Common sense approach to birth control serves in the most sense to bring into the world only those innocents one can afford. To abstain is not a sin.

The church seems to believe that discrimination in the workplace is ok as long as that discrimination is rooted in religious dogma.

There was a time when christians justified slavery by saying that they were bringing salvation to the savages.

Most of the savages I've seen carry a bible with them.

It seems that the government is interfering in all aspects of our lives. It does not matter whether Catholics use birth control or not, it does matter that the president issues these rules bypassing what the Catholic Church believes in. Today it was the Catholic Church, tomorrow it will be another religion. If Obama gets another 4 years, we will have even more mandates and penalties. We are on the road to socialism with this president.
