Dodd's endorsement will come before tonight's debate between Obama and Hillary Clinton. It will be the last time the Democratic candidates square off before the all-important primaries in Ohio and Texas on March 4.
It's rare to hear the strains of the "The Star-Spangled Banner" in North Korea, but it happened today. The New York Philharmonic performed the U.S. national anthem for North Korea's communist elite, becoming the first major American cultural group to perform and the largest to visit the repressive and secretive country.
During the fourth quarter in 2007, American home prices fell 8.9 percent, according to the Standard & Poor's/Case Shiller home price index. It marks the largest drop in the index's 20-year history after a full year of declining values.

More than 12,000 people gathered last night for a memorial service held at the school's Convocation Center.
Raul Castro promised Cubans that he would defer to brother Fidel and the Communist Party's old guard on major matters as he takes over the presidency, crushing hopes that the first change in the country's leadership in almost 50 years would reshape the country's future. He picked 77-year-old revolutionary leader José Ramón Machado for the government's No. 2 spot.
The Cohen brothers, Joel and Ethan, racked up four Oscars, including best picture, for their crime drama "No Country for Old Men," at last night's Academy Awards. All four acting awards went to Europeans actors and actresses, including the best actress distinction to French actress Marion Cotillard for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in "La Vie en Rose."

"If your candidacy is going to be about words then they should be your own words," she said, speaking to Barack Obama. "Lifting whole passages from someone else's speeches is not change you can believe in, it's change you can Xerox." The remark prompted boos from some in the audience.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates delivered a mixed message regarding the continued withdrawal of troops from Iraq. Gates said he anticipates a "brief pause" in troop reductions in July before he attempts to withdraw more troops in the next 10 to 12 months.
Thousands of Serbian demonstrators continue to wreak havoc in the wake of Kosovo's declaration of independence this past Sunday. At least one person has died and 150 people have been injured in the violence.
