The Senate Judiciary Committee hearing slated for this morning is sure to be slow and tedious as former White House political director Sara Taylor testifies.
Taylor said she will respect President Bush’s wishes and not respond to questions pertaining to the firings of U.S. attorneys unless a court orders her to do so.
She's appearing on Capitol Hill today nonetheless. Her lawyer may have to direct her as the hearing progresses on what she can and cannot answer under Bush’s executive privilege claim.

It would be quite the piece of calamari. A giant squid washed ashore in Australia that was 3 feet wide and 26 feet long and weighed 550 pounds. Scientists plan to study this specimen and then possibly put it on display. Giant squid are found in waters off southern Australia and New Zealand and actually contain high levels of ammonia (forget the calamari). They are mysterious creatures and, as U.S. News reported back in 2004, the mammoth animals have interesting mating habits.
