Florida Leapfrogs Super-Duper Tuesday


Florida dealt a blow in the ongoing brinkmanship between states moving up their presidential primaries to gain influence in the selection, voting to hold its primary on Jan. 29, 2008. That puts Florida ahead of the flock of states that will vote a week later on what has been dubbed "Super-Duper Tuesday," putting it behind only Iowa, Nevada, and New Hampshire. South Carolina also holds its Democratic primary on January 29.
