Well many fought and were highly decorated in the British Forces, The French resistance and in very large numbers in the Soviet Union. No sane person could feel anything but horror after reading the Hamas covenant. It is even more evil than the doctrine of the Nazis we fought in world war two by far. Hamas is the main obstacle to peace in the Middle East, although admired by Islamo-fascists and left wing loonies in Europe.

Modern rules of war, that is bull! lets arm palastinian the same way we are arming Israel and then see who is hiding where. I think Jews did really follow the rules of war well when German were doing that in WWII. I wonder where were the Jews hiding when Germans were coming after them and why didn't they have the guts to stand up for themselves.

Two-state solution and Land for Peace (so the former is even possible)are the only viable way forward. But neither has been, is, or will be possible without a Great Power (for all practical purposes the United States) firm guarantee of the territorial security of BOTH finalized states. This will likely require the creation of mutual defense treaties with one or more Great Powers. To date, none have been offered and so the conflict has continued for 40 years ... and will conceivably continue for 40 more.

To the person who said that Africa is a failed continent I say it was because of European/American intervention that the land of my ancestors is in such a state of disaray.You must have forgotten that the European continent benfitted from thousands of years of free black labor that which you were only too happy to acccept from the black who sold to you so don't act as if your innocent of this act of inhumanity.As for Hamas they are fighting for the land that their ancestors were forcibly removed from by Israeli thugs going back in the 40's.Hopefully President Obama will allow Sen.Mitchell to turn up the heat on the Israeli government something his predecessors failed to do.

I do not think that Obama has to worry about whether the Arabs or ALjazeera is skeptical or not..the big problem in the middle east is Iran and the production of nuclear bombs with the promise to use them against the only democracy in that area of the world is the real threat and must be taken seriously......by all the human beings on our planet.....

There must be a long lasting peace. Israel must make peace with its Arab neighbors. Israel must make peace with the Palestinian Arabs. Israel must return the Golan Heights to Syria. Israel must return the Sheeba Farms to the Lebanese. Hamas and the Palestinian Authority must make peace with each other. A two state solution is the only solution. A Palestinian State must have an undevided Jerusalem as its capital. This way there will be a long lasting peace.

Obama must surely recognize that the Arab Terrorists which control the Gaza Strip and represent the Palastinians have continued fighting Israel and the Jewish population since the United Nations gave the Jews the right to settle in the Holy Land in l957. The Arabs ( 5 nations ) declared war on May 14, 1958 when the country of Israel was founded, and have vowed to wipe the Jews off the face of the middle-east map. How can any intelligent man such as Obama compromise with that atitude and course of action which has continued to the present day. Can one reason with fools.
