Costco Could Be Your New Mortgage Broker

As a mortgage professional I have a real problem with this. You cannot "Walmart-ize" something as important as a home loan and other financial services. I'm not sure how we got to the point retail companies have decided that being successful at selling consumer goods somehow qualifies them to provide financial services in industries like real estate. Buying a home is something that is not turnkey, and takes special attention to detail in each and every case. Originating home loans is something I've done for nearly a decade, and is something I'm good at.
