"...We are further distressed by your unwarranted abuse of our duly elected officials who are in the process of making laws in the fulfillment of their mission and make demand that you biblically issue an apology for having wronged us as demonstrated by the facts of this letter."

Warren has been outed by people with a purpose like Bruce, who posted here, and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC. He has without doubt contributed to this debacle because he is held in high esteem and his meetings over there have served as the catalyst for this legislation. He is only trying to cover his tracks! Three cheers for the folks who have exposed him for what he is... Don't believe his sudden condemnation of this, folks - do your research.

Rick Warren is historically astute and has correctly recognized that American evangelical leaders who do not denounce this proposed legislation are going to be set up for a lot of bad publicity in America. That's the reason, and the main reason in my opinion, that he is speaking out.

His stated #2 reason for opposing the law is that pastors might be obligated to snitch about pastoral conversations with gays. Funny that he doesn't bother mentioning that a law requiring ANYBODY to snitch on others' private lives is beyond outrageous and closely akin to Hitler's tactics. But Rick manages to mention only worrying about the pastors in this regard. What a telling omission.

Me.

On December 4th I released a story titled "Rick Warren's Dissertation Advisor Leads Network Promoting Uganda Anti-Gay Bill" (Google it, you'll get the story).

Warren's responding to my work linking him to Wagner.

And, Rick Warren is blatantly lying in claiming that C. Peter Wagner wasn't his dMin dissertation advisor. The abstract of Rick Warren's 1993 Fuller Theology Seminary doctoral dissertation (I have a copy) lists one and only one faculty name : C. Peter Wagner, as "mentor."

Also, I'm the person who found and publicized (over fifty thousand YouTube hits so far) Warren's 2005 Angels Stadium "Hitler, Lenin, Mao" speech.

Cheers,

Bruce Wilson
