This is the problem with all religion... you can believe anything no matter how stupid without proof at all, and deny any fact that does not fit into your superstition. The Huchster doesn't even believe in evolution! Why this dolt was even in a public office speaks loudly for the bible belt in general and Dorkinsaw specifically. Folks this is the reason that the founders DID NOT want any gods in government. When a government begins to wonder 'what Jesus would do' it is doomed.

In a real ideal world, scum like Clemmons and his ilk would be turned into fertilizer, not turned out on the streets. If one allows their religion to rule over common sense, it is the same as wearing a metal bucket on your head and beating it with a spoon, you leanr nothing, observe nothing and think nothing.

Huckabee, released hundreds of folks from prison while Governor. He is responsible for what those folks do just as he was respobsible for helping to getting them released into society. Now he has to accept the blame for four innocent Police Officers deaths by the hand of Clemmons. All we can hope and pray for is that more of Huckabees early pardons or releases don't end up as this one did.

I wrote my own take on why Huckabee did what he did:

Basically, I think it was a combination of willful ignorance and misguided forgiveness.

Sure, Huckabee had lots of help in mishandling this case. But when you let a convict out of prison before he's served his time, you'd better hope he behaves himself; otherwise, whether you're a dumb liberal, like Normal Mailer, or Mikey Dukakis, or a dumb Baptist, like Huckabee, it matters not. The American people will not tolerate a man who is soft on crime.

This eliminates this illegal immigrant loving moron from any serious presidential run, thank God. If he had any sense of decency,he'd just retire from politics and TV and go back to whatever backwater town he came from. We don't need another "Compassionate" conservative, look at the damage the last one caused.

Come on...as people who belive in personal responsiblity are you really going to try to pin all of the legal sytem loopholes on Huckabee???? tha is just pathetic. If you are going to take him down at least be fair and take down EVERY BLEEDINGHEART DEMOPCRAT who would release rapists, and child molesters and in the mean time kill off our greatest GNP(our babies who happen to be in a bad geogrphic location...the womb)

Tim Kelley of MN 1:37AM December 02, 2009

If he does run in 2012 he had better avoid Washington state at all costs, yes there were many failures at many levels but HE was the governor it was his responsibility to make sure he didnt

release someone who was a danger to the public, and he failed and now four dedicated law enforcment officers are dead, his hands are covered in blood.

Eric B of WA 11:32PM December 01, 2009

Huckabee is finished. Good thing he indicated he's against running in 2012. I hate to admit I voted for this guy in the Texas primary. My bad.

he is against the majority americans ideals which are stop rewarding illegal aliens. Also if you think about the first time this pieace of human garbage got in trouble something they are not telling you and i why would the state of arkansas give this person those kind of years if the crime was not as bad as they say it was because hucabee said there was no weapon involved this judge saw somthing about this guy that no one else did
