If you don't agree with abortion in any circumstance then you should sign up to adopt some of the thousands of children without families here in the U.S. and you should also agree with paying for welfare to assist those young mothers who keep their babies, many of whom end up abused and who we pay for when they go to jail.

I think you still missing the point. Health care not about abortion, it’s about control of choices. Before I come here, I think America have free choice, good thing right? I think America no longer free choice for anybody. I think Poland have more free choice than America now.

You think maybe I’m crazy. In Poland “took” my guns away from me, but in America you make vote and “give” yours to government. Now they want you to make vote again on health care so you can “give” your choice to government. Now tell me who’s crazy one?

You don’t know you are fool until it happens to you and you have no more “free” choice. One day you will be forced to kill someone baby with your money. Then you will know, and you will feel pain and cry. I know, I took many to gas chamber. I loose sleep and feel pain many years just like you will. “Comrade” they say, “you are free to choose.” What can I choose I ask. “here is your choice they say.” I don’t like the choices I say. “government knows best choices for you” they say, “Now you choose or we choose for you.”

I've been there and wept many tears.... and now I laugh at foolish American who thinks you have “free choice” See we not so different. Welcome Comrade American.

Abortion is in no way in the same category, not even the same galaxy as a motorcycle accident or an obese person. How many motorcyclists do you know that go out trying to kill people? And overweight people? Do they wake up in the morning wiht the intention of harming themselves or OTHERS? No, neither of those are correct. Abortion is the INTENTIONAL MURDER of an innocent helpless child, that has a beating heart within 21 days of conception. I will rot in jail if i have to. i refuse to pay taxes supporting this ridiculous KILLING of children. 1/3 of our kids generation is dead because of abortion. Thats ridiculous! No one should have the right to kill. NO ONE. In this free country every person has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, correct? Thought so. The children that lie in the palm of God's hand never got to have the right to life because we are taking it from them. And I, among others refuse to sit back and watch it happen.

whether or not you like paying tax money that goes into something you believe in or dont, the truth is we all pay for all of societies costs. think about it, when overweight people become more prevalent and have more health issues and when motorcyclist get into ridiculous accidents for not wearing helmets or riding like an hell-raiser, then whether or not its paid for by the govt or the insurance companies, our premiums go up because those entities will never bear the cost alone. in effect no matter what you call it, we're always going to be paying for things we don't agree with. that is the nature of living in country of freedom. the main issue is not whether or not we want to pay for something, because we will either way. we already do. it's that there are many people who don't have health care coverage that forgo medical treatment. well hello, does jesus want all of the sick people to die? of course not, so just agree on something already and get a move on it.

and by god it should be every american's right to health care. we get education, why not good health. what happens when good people lose their jobs? they lose their health care too!!! or what if you want to start a business, you got it. health insurance will not be easy to afford. it could be you... but then again it's probably not...AHEM to the me myself and i BS above. so you stop being selfish. and if i'm wrong and you are uninsured, well then you're just an self-righteous idiot! but again, that's really not the point here...

and to the ding dong about the father's wishes being important, well i have one thing to say about that: if you are a man having sex with a woman and that's really important to you then you should probably have that conversation before jumping in bed with someone. if the woman doesnt agree then go have sex with someone else who does. quite simple actually.

We live in a society of Me, Myself and I. With no regards to those around you or (in you). God has given each of us the privilege of liberty (as long as it's within his boundries of rightiousness, outside of this is where all this mess of "I" has it's roots,SIN). Liberty is a gift of God for his honor and glory. You think all that YOU are and all that was created revolves around YOU. (YOU/WE will have all the attention on judgement day soon enough (believe it or not), YOU/WE will give an account). Our society is a mess because of each one of us wants to excercise THEIR rights to do whatever THEY feel is right in THEIR own eyes. Jesus has called all of us to live a life crucified to self to the love and glory of Him who created us. Then, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. What we say, do, the motives of our hearts should be to the edification of others. Please hear with your hearts not with your own understanding. Tommorrow is promised to no one.

You may say, "Another religious fantic spouting off". If I'm wrong you lose nothing, but if Jesus is right, tremble, and seek his face and repent. While you still have a breath of life in your body. God Bless you as you seek him.

Folks, it's not about Me, Myself, and I. We, as his creation need to repent from our sins, if we are going truly going to experience a life of love, peace and joy.

Are you suggesting that the father can choose whether a woman has an abortion or gets pregnant?! What else do you think he can decide to do with her body? Slavery, rape?

Of course the father has a say - it's called discussing it with the mother. End of story. It IS ultimatly her decision and if you think otherwise you must view women as objects to be controlled. It makes me sick and very afraid.

People are always saying that you cannot impose your religious views on others. Why is it that all the anti-religious people get to not only cram their views, but get to make them law and force me to help fund it??? What if the father (remember them?) wants to have pregnancy induced (just like abortion except the death of the infant is not the goal)and is willing to pay the bill and provide total care and support for the infant? I bet all the pro-choice people have some reason that would be depriving a woman of some right. Why is her wish the only one that matters? First they scream for abortions. Then the night-after abortion pill. Now tax-payer funded. Maybe we should also give them paid 6 weeks off work to recuperate....

Our government has a PRIMARY responsibility to protect the people they govern. Nowadays they are considering FUNDING ripping people to pieces. The ancient Aztecs would sacrifice their own people on the altar of their disgusting religion. They didn't rip them to pieces though. Now so many of us sacrifice our own kids on the alter of our selfish humanist religion of me, me, me... At least we are not eating our kid's flesh. I wonder if I have the right to CHOOSE to eat my kids flesh if I am starving... since its not human before it's born. I don't care what your belief system is... people in America are changing their minds about abortion. More people than ever oppose it and that will increase, and that is exciting.

Liiz says poor women are "...less likely to be able to afford the adequate support of a child". Is that how we decide whether a baby lives or dies? Based on whether the mother has enough money??? Give me a break! It is not that baby's fault the mother is poor, nor is it his/her fault the mother got pregnant without planning to do so. There are plenty of other would-be parents who CAN afford to raise that child; give the baby a chance to live. The mother does not have to saddle herself with a multi-decade financial burden of raising a child. The better alternative is adoption.

I get the distinct impression that pro-abortion people, under the guise of "choice", would actually PREFER that poor people abort their babies so there would be fewer poor people. There is nothing generous or compassionate about an attitude like that.

I applaud the responses of Andrew of CA and Bob of OH. The really sad consequence of the amendment is the effect it could have on low-income women--and their families. These women are less likely to have the funds to buy private insurance AND they are less likely to be able to afford the adequate support of a child--often an additional child--whether married or not. The force of the amendment is to discriminate against women and families, who for whatever reason believe that they cannot bring to term an unexpected pregnancy.
