Taking Questions for House Democratic Whip James Clyburn

Have questions for House Democratic Whip James Clyburn? Send 'em my way. I'm talking to him Thursday afternoon for the blog.

As chairman of the Democrats' Faith Working Group, Clyburn is leading the party's renewed religious outreach effort. And as the son of a Pentecostal minister, he's known to drop a Bible quote or two.

Here's Clyburn talking up healthcare reform earlier this year:

I do believe that if James were writing his epistle today, he would not say just to clothe the naked and feed the hungry. I believe that James would tell us that we have a responsibility to take care of those who are sick and shut in. That we ought to be about providing health care for the people who need it in our great country, I am convinced of that.

And we must do that in such a way that it is not just health care being provided, it's got to be accessible. It's got to be affordable. It's got to be quality. There have to be choices. All of those things have to be included and that is what this President is presenting to us. That is what the House did last Friday when it released its working draft. It is a plan that is affordable, it's accessible, it's high quality, it provides choices, it is what we need to do for the American people and your being here today is a big shot in the arm to help us get that done.

Your right!! James did mean more than just cloth the needy!!

But I don't James intended on NAFTA being around to pump all the tax paying jobs outside the country either!! James would be totally confused at the totall stupidity this country is now!!

No matter which party you are affiliated with!! We are supposed to be a nation founded on christian principles. Ungodly ways have more than once proved that they don't work at all!!
