It is rather interesting for me to read the article. Thanx for it. I like such themes and everything that is connected to them. I would like to read more on this blog soon. BTW, rather good design your site has, but don’t you think it should be changed once in a few months?

The teachings of the Catholic Church confound both the left and the right; they are whole and seamless. The Church offers a strong critique of capitalism, and argues for what G.K. Chesterton called distributism instead. The Church says any society can and should be evaluated by how it helps the poorest, last and least. The Church opposes the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and calls the very fact of nuclear weapons (let alone their use) an "intrinsic evil." The Church asks for a living wage for all workers and says the right to immigrate is a human right. Michael Moore well represents Catholic Social Teaching. Read the encyclicals; it's all quite clear.

Suradawn Veirs - I can tell you have never been a Catholic. The Catholic Church does not require a 10% tithing. So to say that the purpose of the Pro-Life movement is about more people 10% tithing makes about as much sense as saying the Pro-Life movement is about more people making blue berry pie.

Also, went you are under excommunication, you still have access to a priest for confession - it is part of how you get out out of excommunication.

Yes, abortion is a sin. Why would you think murder of an innocent isn't a sin?

is is a man who makes a living at what he does, He knows what people want to hear and he might even believe every thing he says. He does do some good but so do snake oil sales people, like Michael Moore snake oil sales people gives hope. Which is more than people who complain then does nothing about it does. I would be more impressed with Michael Moore if he could father grassroots think tanks around America So “We The People” would know how to be a part of our own Government Again. City counsel is not always boring, Sometimes you can hear some crazy things when a counsel member is doing a constituent a favor and does not research the subject. Of course A grassroots group is even more fun than city counsel because when they first get started nobody knows what to do and things are very informal and people bring snacks and sometimes they even have a baby sitter. And everybody gets to know there neighborhoods and there Government, Sometimes local as well as federal. I know I have learned a lot by reading these articles and mostly the posts when they are not negative.

"Radical" priests tried to end the illegal Nam War, by burning drafrecords, etc. They knew Catholic Pres. Diem corruptly profited from the heroin trade. They knew the CIA forged cables that fooled LBJ to issue the Tonkin Gulf Resolution that officially began the war. They knew CIA- forged cables to JFK led to an assassination, & replacement of Diem after he stubbornly insisted on doing things his way, like closing Buddhist pagodas. S & J obviously have not read "The Pentagon Papers" or McCoy's "The Politics of Heroin in SE Asia." The war was called "Cardinal Spellman's War" because he was took part in having Diem become S. Nam's president. McNamara later said he was sorry he didn't speak up & give advice to end the war. Corporations that sell war equipment to us taxpayers were glad to keep the mess going. Today, I watch battle photos and know each explosion cost us thousands of dollars for one big bomb or hail of bullets. 55,000 Americans died. VA hospitals still have poor, dear patients with colostomy bags, artificial limbs, aids for the blind or deaf, etc. Moore rightfully has author income, so he arouses envy. It's not to late for S & J to get information they lack.

Moore says most Americans want gun control-(less damage from bullets) Most are liberated, liberal, don't want wars or a draft. Most support unions & defend workers' rights. They don't trust corporations. Remember Enron & need for bailouts. Remember corporate demands for de-regulation & for privatization of public agencies, etc. Most Americans want equal rights for women. Most oppose any attempt by the government or religious groups that would seek to control their reproductive organs. Moore doesn't go as far as I do. I say Pro-Life exists to preserve the dollar value of the 10% lifetime tithe. It's $160,000 if a person pays 40 years on a steady yearly income of $40,000. Moore knows the Code of Canon Law. It calls abortion a "crime" & a SIN, punished by excommunication. That means no access to a priest to hear confession, prescribe penitence & grant forgiveness. Unforgiven sinners go to Hell, to torture by fire!! Terrified Catholics fearfully obey that Section of Canon Law. Until l973 (Roe) U.S. civil government enforced Canon Law that bans abortion and suicide. Patriotically, Moore seems to ask us to give first allegiance to the Constitution, not to laws made by churches.

Most important words to know? Moore idolized radical priests, whose actions were a form of political spectacle, conceptually(give me a break!) which is marxist.

Moore loves Cuba! Enough said.

He makes millions by bashing capitialism, and the awe inspired liberals see no issue with this. Michael Moore is an obese, undisciplined, radical demogogue who repulses 95% of the people in this country, myself included.

smittty of KS 11:40AM September 25, 2009

Michael Moore is a person who is against abortion and all things left? Ahhh that can't be right. He is all for gluttony! Oh and making money for himself. No vow of poverty there!
