I did not vote for Obama. My views tend to be on the conservative side of moderate. However, he is our President.

Having observed President Obama in office these past eight months, I believe he is a good man and a capable leader. He deserves more bipartisian support and less criticism from shrill right wingers and whiny left wingers.

Our nation was conceived and built by people with a Christian tradition. It is OK for Obama, who has both Muslim and Christian roots, to involk God and God's will in public policy.

The rights that Obama speaks of are derived from the ideals of the Enlightenment philosophers - not from the ideals derived from any religious holy book. Those ideals that we take as unmistakably good were fought against tooth and nail by the churches. Many religious institutions have given up opposition to to those ideals after they gained widespread acceptance and have adopted and oc-opted those ideals as their own. But, always be aware that freedom and the inalienable rights of Man are not concepts that spring naturally from any religious source. And even today, and even in America, there are strong and pervasive religious forces that would love to turn the clock back on our hard won individual freedoms and rights. Some Christians like to say that the Devils best trick was convincing people that he didn't exist; I say that the clerics best trick was convincing people that they on the side of the good.

the obamanation THINKS BECAUSE HE CONNED HIS WAY INTO AMERICAN HISTORY AND THE WORLD SCENE, THINKS he IS god AND WORTHY OF PRAISE. he DOES NOT KNOW WHAT he is DOING AND THEREFORE WILL END IN FAILURE JUST AS THOSE WHO PROPETUATE his kingdom. THERE IS A FORCE IN AMERICA THAT WILL BRING THIS IDIOT TO his KNEES AS THE WORLD WATCHES. IT IS THE POWER AND FORCE OF PRAYER! ! ! TO A RISEN SAVIOR, NOT SOME DEMOGOGUE! the obamanation IS A FAILURE AWAITING TO HAPPEN. THESE POLICIES ARE DOOMED FOR FAILURE/AWAIT FAILURE/AND THE FAILURE OF THE IDIOT THAT PROPOSES THEM!

If Obama and especially Bush would bother to read their Bible they would know there will be no peace till Armageddon and quit needlessly sacrificing lifes and increasing debt for nothing.

What starts wars but words? Now if words all by themselves can start wars it may be that words can stop them. Words can kill or they can cure. Therefore it is wise to be careeful about words. Just look at what the Lord Jesus did with words.Because he always told the truth He became the Truth and all evil fled from His prescence! Lies perpetuate war but truth manifests peace. Atheists may not agree but all religions are based on truth and should be respected but the faithful who understand the importance of getting past words have that special blessing that comes from recognizing God's perfect plan.

In the Holy Bible, (which is God speaking to man), there are a number of prophecies about a Messiah (Jesus Christ) who will reign as King over all the nations of this earth he alone is the only one able to bring peace and it is only by his Father-Yahweh that this will happen, again it is prophesied to happen whether mankind likes it or not, Jews don't understand that Zech. 14 is about Jesus' return. NO human government will bring peace to the 'holy land' which God declares is anything but Holy today, this world is "babylon" and is full of religious confusion, and just like the tower built long ago is in opposition to God Almighty,(a total waste of time), God the creator is not divided, man is, God alone will prove where, and who He is with, like He did when he took the sons of Israel out of Egypt long ago with a mighty and supernatural hand

What a tragedy this entire "holy land" idea has been. It has led to more misery, torture, and murder than just about any other dispute in history. The three major religions cannot all be right, more likely they are all totally wrong about the whole thing. Wake up, you morons...."God" didn't make any of you his chosen ones, so just shut up about it anyway. I'm starting to think that the rest of the world should rise up and simply kill every ignorant soul involved in this tawdry affair, and that means all the christians, jews, and muslims who won't let this moronic stuff go.

Three faiths are fighting over a slice of land that was "forever given to God's Chosen People by their God Yawheh." This is tragic, because that part of the world is near so many valuable natural resources and shipping centers. Ownership of them means vast wealth for whichever faith becomes the major population. It was a mistake for the Allies to create "Israel" on land earlier occupied & developed by Muslims. it's tragic that Christians say Jerusalem is the vital core of the establishment of their religion. Preachers of competing faiths are always looking for converts. When they succeed, the dollar value of tithes passes from one group of preachers to another. This may sound cynical, because I'm godless, but the site needs input from "an outsider." It's very warlike for Israel to insist on bringing more Jews there and to continue to "colonize." In the Bible, the Pharoah became deeply disturbed when he saw Jews were becoming so numerous they might overthrow his reign by weight of numbers. Obama is wrong to use the phrase "God's children," because it implies atheists have no part in shaping US foreign policy. I'd make Israel stay within original borders and give back what they took.
