I find it ironic that Wiesel stood on a podium and exclaimed, "Never again!", then refuses to criticize such war crimes as the 2009 Gaza invasion, in which over 1000 innocent civilians were massacred.
Something about Zionism poisons the good in human nature, as evidenced by Wiesel and Natan Sharansky, both of whom willfully turn a blind eye to the sufferings of Palestinians. What is especially hypocritical in the case of Wiesel is that he claims he cannot criticize Israel despite Israeli policies that are virtually identical to the the Nazis' racism.

As Israel PM Netanyahu recently observed at an airport celebration welcoming new Olim to Israel, the Jewish People are reaching a tipping point for the fist time in two millennia: More Jews will be living in Eretz Yisrael than in the nations of the Diaspora. What is the significance of this amazing paradigm shift? Could it be a certain cogent (and instructive) linear perspective and thus, purpose to history? Why is it that history is replete with examples of nations or people groups which have disappeared only six or seven generations after invasion, conquest or catastrophic national upheaval? Instead of appearing on list of extinct Semitic languages, Hebrew will soon be the spoken language of a majority of Jews. The plots, ploys, protocols, denials and revisions invented in every generation by antisemitism will wither entirely before the light of a new Dawn. The Jewish People look at the world through very old eyes. Our Golden Age is yet to be realized. The fact Israel exists shows the koran to be wrong, Israel will remain in their rightful place for ever, they can not be removed as the Lord has brought them back just as He promised He would. they may suffer military defeats in the future and half the city may go into captivity but they are coming to a time when they will recognise their Messiah , the one who was bruised and by who's stripes we are healed. Israel stands alone in a area totally opposed to its existence. The Palestinians vote in a evil regime whose purpose is to destroy Israel. They hide behind innocent children and Mothers.
They fire rockets from schools, mosques and hospitals. Before Israel hit back they would leaflet an area (over 900,000 dropped) to warn the civilians to get out before they would attack. They also phoned civilians to warn them that terrorists near by were going to be attacked. No nation through out history has ever taken so much care to limit civilian casualties.
With Iran's backing and behind the scenes also Russia's with have the potential for another holocaust.
My heart goes out to the Palestine people but they must vote in more moderate leaders who will be after justice and peace.

Well, while this interview and kowtowing between Hagee (CUFI) and Wiesel may come as a surprise to some, who have not been following them in recent years, I am not at all surprised. For quite some time, both have been showing their true colors. As we found out during the Bosnian crisis Wiesel is a disguised hypocrite, who, sadly, behaves more like a weasel than an honest advocate of peace or human rights. His tears are only shed for the Jewish suffering and not for other victims of modern-day Holocausts -- not those who were slaughtered in Bosnia and Kosovo in the 1990s by Christian extremists, and surely not the Palestinians who are routinely killed by his own co-religionists - the Zionist Jews in the Occupied Territories of Palestine. He has never condemned the rogue state of Israel for its gruesome murder of Palestinian civilians and destruction of their homes, schools, hospitals, etc.
As to Hagee, the least said is better. There is nothing to hide his despicable bigotry and toxic Christian evangelical zeal. They surely need each other for Israel and the coming world they want to craft for their kinds.
One wants to make sure that Israel's illegal occupation has the backers like evangelical Christians that comprise a powerful block within the USA. And the other wants to hide his true agenda of gathering the "rejecters" of Jesus like the lambs for the ultimate slaughter in the God's promised land that will take place with his second coming, and as such, like the sly devil (with a hidden knife under the scarf), is now showing his benefactor self! Interestingly, both know each other's ploy and yet have no moral qualms in cooperating. They are essentially two sides of the same coin that need each other to bring about the Armageddon on earth. Shame on their hypocrisy and bigotry!

I don't see much to differentiate between John Hagee and Ahmadinejad, other than that one of them is fat.
Both are rabid fundmentalists. Both are utterly irrational. Both are abject liars. Both are filled with hatred. Both are acting so as to foment nuclear war. Neither appear to give a damn about helping the people they allegedly support. Neither of them has the least understanding of prophetic religion or the Kingdom of God.
I am distressed to see Elie Wiesel sucked into this sort of nonsense.

is whether America and Israel together will "take out" the Iranian nuke program, or whether Iranians will overthrow their own government and "stand down" their nuke program, or whether the Iranian government will complete its nuke program and have it standing by for Americans and Israel to merely "react to". Anyone know the answer?
Bush and Cheney had a mindset toward taking things out, but did not attempt to do this. Obama seems to have an initial mindset toward hoping moderate Muslim people will overthrow their own extremists.
Are events there merely progressing to the sobering reality of nuclear Islam against Israel and beyond the control of America?
