Gallup Poll: Americans Evenly Split on Abortion Between 'Pro-Life' and 'Pro-Choice'

Spiritual Politics's Mark Silk flags a new Gallup poll showing that the country is now evenly split between those calling themselves "pro-life" and "pro-choice":

In May, Gallup found that most Americans were identifying as pro-life for the first time since it began asking the question in 1995. The recent dip in pro-life support could be a response to the recent assassination of late-term abortion provider George Tiller. It may also speak to the passing of the Obama-at-Notre Dame controversy, which revolved around the president's and the Catholic Church's abortion stances.

Gallup notes that more Americans oppose abortion rights than did were a year ago. This is because of changes on the Republican side of the ledger:

The percentage of Republicans (including independents who lean Republican) who call themselves "pro-life" has risen by nearly 10 points over the past year, from 60% to 68%—perhaps a reaction to the "pro-choice" presidency of Barack Obama—while there has been essentially no change in the views of Democrats and Democratic leaners.

This raises the stakes for the forthcoming "common ground" plan on abortion from the White House. Those swelling ranks of GOP-leaning, pro-life independents are exactly who the Obama team is trying to appeal to.

that America has killed more Unborn Babies to abortion than Hitler killed in all his concentration camps.

Hitler and Nazi Germany = Less than 5 Million in 6 years

American Abortions = Greater than 7.2 Million in 6 years

The Nazi Germany concentration camps where shutdown before reaching 5 Million deaths.

America has aborted more than 45 Million in 36 years.

Victim numbers

The number of people killed at the death camps has been estimated as follows:

Auschwitz-Birkenau: about 1,100,000[11]

Treblinka: at least 700,000[12]

Belzec: about 434,500[13]

Sobibór: about 167,000[14]

Chelmno: about 152,000[15]

Majdanek: 78,000[16]

These numbers total just under 2,700,000 people.

Among the lesser known death camps, estimates vary from 85,000 to 600,000 killed at Jasenovac.[17] At Maly Trostenets extermination camp at least 65,000 Jews were murdered, and estimations for non-Jewish people killed vary from 100,000 to 400,000 (no survivals, including operating personnel, were found). Human Life is important.

Human Life should be protected.

Our unborn babies deserve a chance.

Our unborn babies deserve a choice.

Please don't support the slaughter of the least of our people.

We should not kill.

If you read the actual statistics (found at http://www.pollingreport.com/abortion.htm) you will see that only 21% approve of abortions in all cases. 57% approve in certain circumstances, i.e. risk to mother. Another 18% believe abortion should be illegal in all circumstances and 4% of the pepole don't have enough gray matter to have an opinion.

Conception is the begining and the unborn baby has it's own DNA. It is different from the mothers DNA.

That DNA will make a individual unlike any other in world.

It's not a wart.

It is a growing human being.

Don't be a person that supports slaughtering 3200 unborn babies a day and 1.2 Million a year.
