Does Obama's Healthcare Plan Fund Abortion? Take 5

I completely understand all pro-life statements; however put yourself into the shoes of a woman undergoing this difficult decision.

Think of the young girls who make a mistake and are advised by their own parents to "take care of it" or the child will be kicked out of the house. If this young girl cannot receive the health care she deseves she will have to live a life on the streets, and possibly taking extreme measres to kill her baby.

Think of the girls that are rapped and become pregnate with that man's child. Should she be forced to carry her attacker's baby and relive that moment for the rest of her life.

As always adoption is a valid choice, however the girls who do not want their children, who are forced to hide what is happening to their bodies, and who are ashamed to admit what they have done will not take care of themselves or their baby. They could partake in drinking, drugs, or self inflicted abuse in hopes to end their wrongdoing. Usually these acts do not kill a baby, bt render them disabled or addicted at birth.

I want everyone who is pro-life to stop the judgement. No person can know what pressure is being placed on the girl or the thoughts she has to endure the rest of her life. For those that believe that more young girls are engaging in sex now that ever need to only watch Dirty Dancing. Just because it was not talked abot does not mean it did not happen. The young adults today do not have the same taboo when it comes to sex, which has lead to birth control being used more often and widely avaliable at any age.

I do not believe that this health care plan is supporting or paying for Abortions. The losers of this bill are the Insurance companies and the Drug companies who charge 400.00 for one medication to people who can't afford to pay. While Insurance companies deny AMERICANS the right to doctors and information that will help. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ABORTION, but I know that this bill will help to inform young people about forms of birth control that will prevent them from becoming pregnant in the first place. The information will be available at the doctors office to help prevent any medical problems. We must pass this bill for the good of the nation. Americans need to have available Health Care.

The insurance companies and drug companies need to be regulated. Since this has not happened in the pass, we have no choice but to pass this health care plan. In America we pass bills for Americans and over time we amend the bills to better the lives of the people. We can't fix everything on the first signing, but we must start somewhere. In our history we add or take away what is necessary for Americans to continue to live as respectful humans. Right now in America there is a horrible problem with health care and we must make major change.

It is easy to say that Obama's plan does not directly fund abortions because there are a thousand and one ways to indirectly fund it. His bill sets aside over 11 billion dollars to fund community health care clinics without excluding planned parenthood clinics which mainly do abortions. This alone will directly provide for innumerable abortions and is not all. Part of that 11 billion would be used to reauthorize the Indian Health Care act without providing any restrictions on abortion. Anyone who does not think Obama's bill will not somehow provide for abortion is fooling themselves and needs to take their head out of the sand.

fundin abortions if they aren't life threatening is ridiculous!! I'm glad he doesn't plan on it. We have so many methods of birth control INCLUDING ABSTINENCE! We should barely have a need for it. People got along just fine back when they had NONE, accept for the occasional mistake, but nothing like the wonton sexual acts like we have today.. If you don't want a baby, don't have sex, if you have sex or plan to, use Condoms or Birth control. sheesh

Pres. Obama said in a speech that the Health Plan does not include abortions nor does it include illegal aliens. I'm sure his quote was backed by his legal advisers. I feel the scare tactics are still being used by the Republicans. Not backed with the truth. They stand to lose a lot if the big bucks $ insurance companies aren't able to fund their campaigns anymore. Including the one Dem. Senator who plans to filibuster. His state favors the new health plan.

Please read the following article regarding Britain's health care. If we embrace Obama's Nationalization Health Care Plan we, too, could have stories like this:

Many people appear to denegrate socialized medicine, but some simple facts are hard to swallow.

There is a free national health service in England. Also there is health insurance, like here in the US, plus you can just pay cash. So there are options. All this for only 20% income tax for the vast majority of tax payers.

Here in the US there is no free socialized medicine, but we have to pay around 30% income tax. All this for a health insurance system that most consider a national scam that is far greater than a Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme.

Socialized medicine may not be the best system, but having it and a 10% reduction in taxes and then not having to pay $0,000 per month to the insurance vampires looks very appealing.

As a former teacher, I guess my entire career I could see this coming - the lack of thought about an issue, then the twisting to make the issue what is wanted.

Anyone notice how the actual issue of wheter or not the current proposed health bill PAYS for abortion or doesn't turned almost immediately to issue of abortion, and has nothing to do with whether it is paid for by the government or not?TC

Generally speaking, those that have an abortion do not request their insurance company to pay for one. Most want to pay cash and tell no one. What is the percentage of woman that have requested an insurance company to pay for their abortion anyway? I think this is a moral issue rather than a financial problem.
