The real Mormon master plan is to return to our heavenly father and Jesus Christ. In no way is it a cult or a clan planning to take over the world. It is a choice a freedom of religion. If you don't like then keep it to your selves instead of spreading lies. We do believe the bible to be the word of god as long as it is translated correctly. The book of Mormon is the word of god. If you haven't read it yet I suggest you do it is filled with truth and it will help you become closer with Christ. I believe Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet today. I believe in his words which are also god words. If you just sit and listening to the words with an open heart I promise that you will know it is true.

I never knew I was such a "radical" part of society. I figured I was just your typical American. I go to work, pay my taxes, play golf (that is a new hobby), hang with my friends (especially when they are drunk, soooo much fun). I never knew that little ol' me from Vegas, could cause such a stir, not to mention to be worshiping the devil all these years and leading the anti-Christ to whatever I am leading him to. Man I am a much busier person than I thought. Gosh what a way to end it to with "MASS SUICIDES, TERRORISM AND EVIL PRACTICES.", going out with a bang. Sweet...

I really wish all you haters out there would just find something else to do with your time, however I am often entertained by your opinions. Thank you.

THE FALSE PROPHET WILL HAVE OBAMA THE ANTICHRIST, FUND AND BE ORGANIZED INTO UNETHICAL AND EVIL SCHEMES.THE MORMON MEN WILL LEAD THERE FAMILIES AND OTHERS BY THE WORD THEY ARE GIVEN BY THE PROPHET WHICH WILL LEAD TO MASS SUICIDES, TERRORISM AND EVIL PRACTICES. The Nauvoo Women's Guild partnered with Matthew Kennedy of Zion's Mercantile and the Temple House Art Gallery in order to help our local Nauvoo schools. Pam Anderson, a NWG board member had approached Mr. Kennedy in March to ask for his assistance in getting much-needed school supplies for our schools. On April 30, 2009, Evan and Mallory Hutchins arrived from Salt Lake in the truck to bring art to the Gallery. Included in their load were the supplies that Mr. Kennedy had been able to round up from artists in the Salt Lake area.

Board members from the NWG were on hand at the Junior High School to help offload the supplies, as well as the Elementary School principal, Dan Ayer, and Junior High School principal, Maxine Dennison. Supplies included a filing cabinet, a microscope set, office supplies, notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, gluesticks, scissors, art supplies, first aid supplies, a bookcase, and a blender. The elders who oppose gay marriage are slowly dying.

Andm let's face it.. There were a FEW ecumenical councils held, that altered the known writings of the bible, edited some out, and aded stuff in.

And then there's the fact that the LDS church gave huge amounts of money to go against Prop 8, and they expect to HEAL the homosexuals after they convert! WTF....

Obama, why do you even waste your time with these radicals, that live among us, there are many more important matters than the Mormon Church! The bastards that called me evil, because all I wanted was love between me and my partner!

Regrettably, the Pew survey underestimates the number of Latter-day Saints in the United States by about half; the true figure is about 6 million.

It is fascinating to see the amount of vitriol that the names of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young have the power to evoke even today, well over a century after their deaths. I would suggest that interested readers consult books by reputable historians regarding these two men.

Suggestions:

o Richard Lyman Bushman, _Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling_ (New York: Knopf, 2005). Bushman, a former Columbia University history professor, is a Latter-day Saint, but brings professional objectivity to the best biography ever published about Smith.

o Leonard J. Arrington, _Brigham Young: American Moses_ (Paperback, Urbana, IL: University of Illinois Press, 1986; hardcover edition by Knopf). The late Arrington was also LDS, but brought his own style of scholarship and objectivity to the best biography every published about Young.

Concerning the Book of Mormon, the Smithsonian letter merely states that then-current archaeological research had not uncovered evidence for it. Because the Book of Mormon focuses on only one relatively small group of people in the Americas, it should not be expected that such evidence would be available. Readers may be interested in the following:

o Terryl L. Givens, _By the Hand of Mormon: The American Scripture that Launched a New World Religion_ (New York: Oxford University Press, 2002). Givens, also LDS, is Professor of Religion and Literature at the University of Richmond, in Virginia.

Ultimately, the truth of a religion should be determined by two things: impartial investigation, and personal inspiration to the honest investigator from a divine source. Yes, the truth is out there--but it will not be found in rageful, vitriolic attack, but rather in the calm whisperings of the Spirit of Truth to one's own soul, in privacy.

This one sort of leaves me without words. It does seem that any one given president we've ever had, chats with verious religious leaders. Perhaps for advice, perhaps for politico-religious "looks good to the public" type approach. Regardless the motive, at least there's some rapore going on within our democracy...and that in itself is a good thing. In other words, let's look to the positive side of this meeting of political and relligious heads as it were.

First for Aura; Reconstruction did not end until the end of President Grant's term - Not Johnson's. Also, here are a couple of quotes from those "atheists" Washington and Lincoln;

Further, you seem enamored by "Native American Culture" - Which part do you find particularly compelling; Slavery, polygamy, human sacrifice, cannibalism, wars of territorial gain, spousal abuse, male domination, mutilation of wounded and dying enemies or torture? I know this is soooo un-p.c. ("moral supremacy" is not always readily apparent if one looks beneath the p.c. propaganda) .

You might also note that Andrew Johnson had nothing to do with Lincoln's assassination. As a matter of fact, Johnson was on the conspirators "hit list" that night.

Your incoherent blather regarding Catholics, homosexuals, Mormons, the bible teeters on the edge of insanity.

Just a brief comment on Mormonism. Joseph Smith, the cult's founder, was a notorious flim flam man and charlatan, His cohort, Brigham Young, was a murderer and liar (See Mountain Meadow Massacre" for one particularly horrendous episode). Finally, the Smithsonian has issued a statement regarding the Book of Mormon refuting every historical and geological statement in that novel written by Smith. It's a pity so many well meaning people have been duped and programmed by this obvious cult.

THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE (but you do have to open your eyes - at least squint).
