They don't vote for us anyway. The far right in Jersey who calls Obama the anti christ had signs next to that that the jews killed jesus and God hates the jews. Yea and we are supposed to join forces with a party that has these people in it. Even though there are good republicans I don't want to be around people like that.

First-jews are better educated. Second-this makes their support of those whose policies (the democrats and Obama) would result in the destruction of Israel even more pathetic.

Actually, this info is printed in every single book of Congressional information ever printed. You can find out your local congressman/woman, senator, and find out everything from their office location and number, to their religious orientation. It's perfectly normal - allows you to have an idea of something of their habits, as well as lets you in on pertinent information that might affect meeting times and dates.

It's not that big a deal.

Those Christian pro-Zionists remind me of the mindless and clueless crowds who cheered Hitler on.

The only way that good will survive in this world is through thoughtfulness and education, not emotional pep rallies.

Bob is right. Jews are better educated, as a population, than the rest of the country.

More and more, the Republican Party reminds me of those ignorant villagers with torches that stormed Frankenstein's castle.

There are grave dangers in only having a one party system, but that seems to be what has happened to us since the Republicans caved to religious fundamentalists. Pat Buchanan, at least, tried to get another party started, but since he failed they are just abandoning for other established parties.

The Republicans, in allowing the religious right to take over, are doing a disservice to the entire country.

Is there a quota system here. I wonder how many Catholics we should have. I did not know nor do I care that Mr. Coleman was Jewish.

Leave it to the media to point this out - they love labels and categories. I had no idea any of these individuals are Jewish, nor do I care. We have made such progress toward diversity and general acceptance of one and other - but our news media holds us back by never letting us forget what categories we all fit into. Yet they think they are progressive.

Obviously there are not enough Jews in the Senate or the House, given the state of our foreign and domestic affairs.

So what. This is "news" ? And then Gilgoff ends this little hit peice with two open-ended speculative questions.

Lordy lordy, how U.S. News is deterorating.

A group makes up 2% of the population and it is a problem that they dont have a Republican senator?

Why does it matter that no jews have Republican Senate seats? Hmm, 2% of the populace is represented by 13% of the total senate and over 20% of the senate seats in one of two major parties, and somehow there should be more?

As I think of this, what is the percentage of jewish advisors and cabinet members? Well over 2% I'd wager.

I would say they are already represented far beyond their portion of the population, complaint denied.

The numbers here are very interesting indeed, and explain a few things.
