I am pro life. That was my point.

Italia of NY 4:22PM November 07, 2009

Please, I don't like being patronized. My words were misconstrued. I am a women who knows her body well. Spiritually and physically. A man who goes by the name Rob Winslow seeks to give me advice. I don't suffer that well at all. What I meant to say is this, If a woman who choses to have an abortion without the father's consent, I do think he is entitled to have a say about it because he is involved in the creation of the life and the women really does not have the right to make that decision herself. Afterall, the child is half his. Also, she was willing to commit herself to the availability of bringing that soul through by participating in the act of conceiving the child. You Mr. Winslow are the one who is looking at this from a very shallow point of view. I feel sorry for you for having no soul.

Heruaan says God ruled that males must dominate women--be domineering over them. In other words, men must bully women. And women were created to be bullied. He got those ideas from the Bible as a religious document. But other documents came into being, on which this nation is founded. They created civil government with civil laws that replaced church laws. He doesn't like the phrases "liberated women" and "women's liberation." But ours is the Land of the Free. When people are liberated, they are at liberty--they are free. Does he have female relatives or friends who now have better lives because Obama changed the law so women must be paid the same as men for the same work? I'm sorry he had so much pressure put on him to respect the Bible and not question anything it says. I read three books that said "fathers took a beating since women's lib." They were money-makers for the authors, but it is not "father-beating" to report that MOST fathers are not paying child-support, passing that fatherly chore to us taxpayers.

Rob,

Check the facts stated. I did the research and the Center for Disease Control is a good starting point. By the way, they are not associated with any religious group.

Please stop the personal attacks on us or our beliefs.

I encourage you to seek the Truth. Search out the facts.

Daniel,

You make great points.

No one should judge anyone else. That's stated in the bible also. I will not lie. I do judge sometimes. I am trying to stop that bad habit. I believe that we all fall to judging sometimes. My discussion here is not to pass pass judgement on anyone's decision. If you feel like I have passed judgement on you or anyone in any way then I am sorry and that was not my intent at all.

I just want people to understand what is happening. The news is not reporting all the facts and information.

Everyone,

The discussions are great and I enjoy reading what has been shared.

I encourage everyone to do research on the stats and share the Truth. The Truth will set us free.

The conception and splitting of the cells in a womens womb is the beginning of a Human Life. If left alone and kept in good health it will produce a fully developed Human Life. The cells splitting is the beginning of human life.

An unborn child is the least of our people. They are weak, poor, innocent, dependent, defenseless, and fragile. They are completely dependent upon our love and mercy. They are the least of our people in American.

At more than 1.3 Million American abortions a year this is an important topic. Deaths from abortion is greater than all other deaths in America (reference Center for Desease Control and Prevention counts). Simply put more Americans die each year from Abortion than from Aids, Heart Disease, Cancer, Accidents, and all other causes of death.

At more than 45 Million American abortions in 36 years since 1973 this topic is an important topic of respect for every human life.

These unborn children are being ignored. When was the last time the the news media, politician, or anyone told you the count for how many babies were aborted today in American. We talk about all the other news (health care, aids, cancer, economy, 911, murders, deaths in Iraq, and etc... You know all the news and stats for these events. This is not to reduce the importannce of that news but we should stop hiding the Truth about abortion.

In America we averages more than 3800 unborn American babies that die to abortion a day.

All Human Life is equally important.

Please promote respect for every human life.

Please don't promote violence against the unborn defenseless children of America.

Please protect the least of God's people.

Abortion is war against Life and Love.

Please help encourage Human Life and Love.

Quote: What you do to the least of my people you do to me.

We should not Kill.

I agree "Our Country is Better than that!"

ComPassion of IN 11:56AM June 27, 2009

I am a strong supporter of the President. I really believe in this guy. I believe in a woman's right to choose. But I also pray everyday that this country puts an end to abortion.

There are no exceptions. No equivocations. Abortion is wrong. Its a sin. I believe God offers us choices to try to live without sin everyday. I believe none of us are successful at that so none of us have the right to take away the choices of others...be it homosexuality or abortion. Both of which I believe to be sins.

Our job as Christians and citizens is to help others make the right choice and make good choices ourselves, not to pass judgement. The National Parent Database is an excellent idea and an excellent way to put our faith and our citizenship into action. Abortion is a horrific act. Our country is better than that.

Kevin Jones of WV 2:18PM June 25, 2009

appears to rest on Psalm 139--a bit of writing from some 2500 years or so ago?

Simple Reason, biblical literalism and fundamentalism are a scourge, not a demonstration of truth. Will you ever be able to get out of your religion box (perspective) and think for yourself?

What you proclaim as facts are mostly opinions. Mine differ. Don't try to change the US laws to favor your narrow religious, superstituous viewpoint.

I think you are he (or she) who needs to awaken.

Rob Winslow of FL 10:44AM June 25, 2009

Psalm 139 refers to human life being knit together in the mother's womb. FACT: Life begins at conception. FACT: Abortion ends a Human Life. FACT: God considers that murder. FACT: Murder is a sin worthy of punishment. The punishment for breaking God's commandments in eternity in Hell. If one repents and puts their trust in Jesus Christ, then there is forgiveness of sins and life eternal.

Let's not get caught up in the politics and psychobabble. Why are we unable to see the truth of our murderous ways? A woman's right to choose is not in question, but the point of choice IS the question. Men and Women need to keep their clothes on until they are married, then it's fine to have children. We were all children once. What if our parents had chosen to abort us? What if President Obama's mother had decided to have an abortion? Aren't you glad she didn't!! THINK! Follow Christ as our President says he does. Help those who are promiscuous to change their ways. Love is the way, not death. WAKE UP, people.

Simple Reason of NC 10:49PM June 24, 2009

You really need to get your developmental biology straight, ComPassion. Developing human life is not a person. Human life is not the same as personhood. You should at least give credit where credit is due: Roe v. Wade makes this distinction and thereby (in your thinking) ought to be given credit for saving some human lives--babies who cannot be aborted during the last part of pregnancy (except for the health or life of the pregnant woman).

Oh, Italia, I assume you are a woman. Just as you yourself probably want to be in control of how your body is used, so should every woman, including she who has a fertilized egg, embryo or fetus inside her. Haven't you had enough of male control of women?

Rob Winslow of FL 10:07AM June 24, 2009

Why doesn't a man have the right to decide if he wants to end the fetus's life. Why is it just the women's choice?
