New Religious Left Skirmish: Catholics for Choice Attacks Obama Pick

Catholics only by name this group is clearly out of touch with the correct doctrine of the Church on the matter of abortion. Of course they may enter the Temple, anybody can, but they would not be able to receive the Sacrament of Communion (Eucharist) and thus celebrate a valid mass, which is at the core of the Catholic faith. If under the condition of their belief they were to receive Holy Communion, they would: "...eat and drink judgement against themselves." For: "Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be answerable for the body and blood of Jesus." Now ask them if they believe this. And if they don't there you have the proof they are definitely not Catholics in good standard. I am pretty sure they would not be able to even identify the source of the previous quotes.

You seem to have a short memory - Clinton was widely panned by the left for his unwillingness to push harder on environmental policy, healthcare, etc. As far as specific political appointments, I'd say the left has attacked Bob Rubin, Larry Summers, and others.

Still, a good point - what's most interesting is the internecine struggle between abortion reduction proponents and abortion rights defenders. And it really sounds more like sour grapes than anything. Kelley is nothing if not committed to personal freedom, but she's also firmly within the tradition of Catholic social teaching.

to emphasize reducing the number of abortions. I do not believe that he plans to do this by restricting womens' access, regardless of this dustup between two or three groups of Catholics competing with each other for attention.

You reduce abortions by 1) Education, 2) Better access to Plan B or equivalent, 3) Working on culture matters to encourage boys to not impregnate girls. It ain't easy, by the way.
