Focus on the Family has never degraded individuals but has only served to uphold the biblical view on marriage and thus, the traditional family structure. I stand in agreement with them as they unite with families across the country who are in a battle with those who are deceived into thinking that not only is a gay lifestyle healthy and OK but that those who oppose gay marriage and adoption are hateful and intolerant. We need to look into all of Scripture. 1 Cor.13 speakes of love -- what it is and what it isn't."Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." Truth is God's Word and God is Love.It is very simple. It is not a pick and choose, "it's all relative," man made work. Jesus said, "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE." We need to choose His Way, His Truth, His Life. Throw out portions of the Bible to soothe the conscience and we throw out our foundation and hope for our nation's healing and health. A child brought up in a gay family would,no doubt be more likely to perpetuate this unhealthy and sinful lifestyle. Sin is unhealthy. It just is. To place a child in the confusing environment of a gay relationship is not wise is self-seeking and unfair. Am I hateful and intolerant? Just look into the truth of God's Word.

There is absolutely no proof that children would be at any disadvantage physically, emotionally, or educationally if placed with a gay couple. I also highly doubt that most of these children are THAT picky.....if they are placed in a safe and loving home, that is all that should matter.

You can't deny a couple the right to adopt because their beliefs don't agree with yours unless it endangered the child in question. No studies have even given the slightest indication that an environment with same sex parents would cause any harm on any level.

What is more a "change" than having "Focus" realize that (in order to appear sensible), it must take little breaks from bashing liberals and actually converse on issues?

As for gay adoption, there are older kids in the system who can express opinions to judges on whether they would or would not feel comfortable being placed with two moms or two dads. Those opinions ought to be given as much weight as the opinions of any adults about whether this is proper.
