9 Key Developments in Obama's Notre Dame Speech

Clinton and Bush in Haiti President Obama,

Clinton and Bush said that we as a Country must pull together to help Haiti, so why then can't Americans help and feed the needy right here in the United States?

Giving is God's commandment to give to those in need, so please help us today to start right here at home. The environment of the homeless is not from the aftermath of an earthquake, but never the less leaves them without food, shelter, security and most of all sanity; as we are all God's people. I have been working on trying to get a fund raiser for the homeless, but have only received well wishers and broken promises. However, the President this morning said that we as a country must give and George Clooney is hosting a telethon, which I admire their quick response, but why can't we give the same response to God to cloth and feed his people right here?

I am not angry, but disappointed that I must keep asking and asking to help get the homeless off of the streets, but when an entertainer spearheads an event everyone wants to give. Why can't I get that kind of response naturally without having to have a big name attached to the event, even though the cause is a worthy one?

Actually I have the biggest name ever, GOD. Give right here as well as to Haiti in the name of God.

I am Dr. Loren, and must say the more I read articles on Reverend Trey Noran the more I like this man. I am a part of face book and I read articles from Queen Elizabeth to American Actors supporting his cause to open two homeless hotels. My only question is why do these actors step up and help, instead of well wishing. I seriously believe they forget how they became famous. Get off your cans and support a great cause. We Love you Reverend Trey L. Noran.

Lets Put Our Trust In God.

We read who is in the White House or who should have been in the White House. However, be no matter if McCain had won or If Obama would not have won, it is all in the hands of God the creator and his will. I respect many view points and how many issues must be address such like children, education, but never adults who have no children and find hard times or are become homeless and no agency are willing or able to help them. Let us regroup and work with one another.

Above all, put the trust in the only one who can and will change this world for the best and that is God the father and his son Jesus. Think this out for a second? (We the United States was founded In God Will Trust.) In addition, we were the only country that did so well for so many years and now that we are trying to remove God. We see ourselves like others countries of the past are being hit by famine, plaques and much more. What does it take? Let us return to the one that we can always count on. Remember Obama is only as good as God will allow him to be.

Apt reminder why we cannot rely on faith-based initiatives alone.

Were you there to hear such statements or just assuming they were made? In my experience as a pro-lifer, most protesters in this movement are very peaceful and prayerful, regardless of what the media and pro-abortionists will say.

Actions speak louder than words. What has Obama DONE to prove he wants to reduce the number of abortions? --crickets chirping-- What has Obama done to prove he is the most radical abortion president Catholics have ever elected? 1.Rubbed it in the noses of faithful Catholics by speaking at Notre Dame. 2. Enacted federal funding (for the 1st time) to kill embryos for their stem cells - disregarding the overwhelming science that adult stem cells are where the future lies. 3. Rescinded the Mexico City Policy - Again, American tax dollars are funding abortions internationally. 4. Trying to force American tax dollars to pay for abortions in D.C. 5.Rescinding the Conscience Clause for Medical Providers. Do you really expect us to believe this is for the Morning After Pill for Rape/Incest victim? Please. 6.Pending FOCA getting through Congress - doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what he will do.

Lastly, what has Obama DONE to promote the 'social justice' Catholic agenda? DEMONIZED taxpayers and Americans that are financially very successful; Decreasing the charitable tax deduction; Giving non-tax-payers $13.00 weekly increase by redistributing other tax-payers hard earned money; Signed a 800 Billion dollar stimulus package not a single elected official had time to read or study. Despite all this hard evidence staring them in the face, Obama Catholics won't acknowledge the TRUTH of their horrible, destructive choice. When will they wake up?

There seems to me to be a very serious mismatch between the conduct of many protesters (before, during, and after) Obama's Notre Dame speech and the God to whome they profess to be faithful.

It is incongruous to claim to believe in a God of love who commands that his followers love one another (all of their neighbors), and then to spout hateful, venemous, diatribes against those that they perceive to hold to different values on some issues.

The God of Love does not need or want your kind of help. It is incompatible with his commandments in the gospels.

Why does the moronic, obviously pro-abortion writer of this article contort himself to use the term 'anti-abortion rights protesters'? The term is PROLIFE. Why can't you say it? Is it because being pro-abortion is really pro-death and you kind of don't like that ugly truth?

I am not trying to attack you or your beliefs, I am simply trying to explain to you what mine are. I have been enjoying our discussion because I thought both of us were having a civil conversation without attacks or namecalling.

Here is how I see it....

1)The fetus is alive. If a germ is alive, then so is a fetus.

2)The fetus is a human being. Not yet fully developed, but a human being nontheless. If left alone (i.e. not removed from the womb) it does not become a dog or a chicken or a rubber ball, it becomes a living breathing person. It is only called a blob of tissue by those who are trying to deny that it is human, because that makes abortion OK. But changing what you call something does not change it's nature. I can buy a new coffee cup and call it a Cadillac Escallade all day long, and convince everyone I know to call it an Escallade, but I can't drive it to work and it's still a friggin coffee cup.

3)Since the fetus is alive, and it is a human being, to kill it is the very definition of murder under criminal law.

I believe this is why abortion proponents must fight so hard to deny #1 or #2 above, because this is the only way that abortion is NOT murder. But their arguments always fall apart.

Theocracy does not enter into it. No mention of religion or God in this post at all. This is a basic human rights issue - the right to LIFE. It also has nothing to do with the Crusades, or sexual abuse by priests, or the death penalty, or fatty foods, or gun control, or any other subject being thrown into the discussion. We need to stay on topic.
