PASTOR RICK WARREN IS A "VERY INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE". AND HE IS ALSO A "PEACEMAKER".

God forbid Mr. Warren should demonstrate any objective ability to draw compromise between the exigencies of a democratic state and the freedom of religious expression afforded by that same democratic state. I'm not surprised by the arguments presented here, or by the ire of the most fundamentalists’ elements of our society. What, in the end, most fundamentalist "Christians" really want, it seems to me, is the establishment of a theocratic tyranny. Their "allegiance" to our democracy is a falsehood. They wouldn't understand the nature of a democracy if it hit them over the head dressed in cast iron suit swaddled in blanket of bricks. The only religious leaders who will every garner their full support and evade their criticism are the dogmatic mouth pieces who expound their beliefs verbatim. What is the difference between these people and our presumed enemies, fundamentalist Muslims? There is none, save that one group speaks with the "authority" of the Koran and the other the Bible. Watch out Mr. Warren, if you have any intellect at all and any compassion for your fellow human beings that contradicts the dogma of America's Christian Nazi's, I guarantee that your career will be short lived.

Like so many so called "national preachers" he is full of contradictions and often difficult to understand what in the world he means. He is over-rated and I am sure over-paid. Frankly, I dont think he is worth the attention he often gets. He has average intellect and I fail to see what many see in him. Oh well, such is the weirdness of this nation.

Jesus said to His desciples: Deny yourself and pick up the cross and follow me. If Jesus did not come to bring peace into this world, but division, what makes any servant of God think their mission is to make everybody happy?

To reduce Salvation and it power to only breaking poverty, believe in prosperity, etc, is like crucifying Christ all over again.

Jesus did not have to die to break the poverty. His Blood was shed to give us power and authority to break the bondage of sin. We all face temptations, but only if we choose to do the right thing and believe He is the only way, then His grace is sufficient for us.

Every one of us will face the Almighty one day and give an account on every choice we made while in this world. May we all remember to work out our salvation with fear and tembling. Not everyone that says to Me Lor, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of God but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Any works that is not according to the will of God is act of disobedience and will be burned up because it is considered works of inequity.

That comment provokes us to determine and engage in discussion about what is right and what is wrong, not as man sees it but what is written in the Bible which is our roadmap to life.We can take a secular position and that is alright if at the end of the day when each one of us has to answer to Almighty God that we can say to ourselves that "I can be held acountablefor my thoughts, words or deeds and therefore Iam respomsible for the judgeemnt being proclaimed" No one close to you will be able to help you at that time as the Bible says "It is appointed once for man to die and then judgement' Whether we believe that or not ,it dosen't matter as it will not change this fact. Heaven or Hell? What will be your destiny be?..

Rick Warren and other servants of God are just the conduit or the vessel which represents the message. They also have to anwer to the the Divine Source which is the creator and possesor of all things. We are not in control.Let us look around us and examine why America nd the world are going through these crises on all fronts because man thinks that he is in control

I agree that we cannot be want to live in the both worlds.ie.Natural and Spirtual without its consequences.

That cannot take place.God is no respecter of persons. What is happening around us is a wake up call.We need to accept the gift of salvation and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of our lives. That is the only answer to all of what is happening.

If you believe the Bible is very clear that homosexuality is a sin, please just for a moment consider things the wider Christian community used to believe about the Bible that they no longer do. A few examples: women's roles in church, slavery, interracial marriage, the crusades, witch-burning, women's and non-white's ability to vote, and the list goes on. These were situations where people read the Bible to reinforce what they believed, not vice versa. Isn't there a chance your interpretation of homosexuality as a sin is not really what God wants? I believe God made us all as loving human beings, both gay and straight, and that loving someone of the same gender is not looked at by God as a sin.

If you call yourself a Christian pasteor and claim to have been called by God to preach His word, you cannot water it down so that it conforms to the world view. Jesus never settled for the politically correct answers and neither should those who claim to be church leaders. Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and their like have sold out for the same twenty pieces of silver that Judas took. Sure they get plenty of backsides in their pews, but they also put plenty of Benjamins in their pockets. It would pay them better to study the Bible instead of just carrying it for show.

Doesnt the bible declare about what you stand for and not compromise! I believe it does and I also believe that A man who is unstable in all his ways falls. So Rick Warren STAND FIRM! Cause the sand beneath you is shifting your feet will ever so slip. The question is Are you gonna allow yourself to be conformed to this world or are you gonna be transformed in the likeness of Christ? Romans 12 says keep yourselves as a living sacrifice and be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds through the washing of the Holy Spirit. So why the unsettlement? Either You Stand or Be the worlds puppet!ok I better quit or Ima get mad!
