90% of women have women have abortion just because they are not ready or dont want to have a baby. The other ten percent is just rape and other crap, obama supports abortion but he claims to support troops fighting for our freedom dieing,it dont make no sense, listen if the president should preach to country about responsibilties he should take a good look at himself and see what he supports cuz it starts with him and all the women that cant take resposibilty or dont want to take responsibility and just say i want to kill a baby with no remorse in doing so shame shame.......

I think obama shouldnt be goin to Notrdame, out of respect of all catholics we allready know his faith is weak, during the campaign we all seen his pasture, but you know what they say evil never rests. If catholics have to give him a exorcism then bring it obama..........

The basis for the opposition to honoring Obama at Notre Dame is best explained by our beloved Pope John Paul II when he said “Above all the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights–for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture–is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right and the condition for all other personal rights, is not defended with the maximum determination.”

The Catholic teaching on abortion is that it is an "intrinsic evil" which means it is always wrong. Whereas war or even the death penalty is not considered an intrinsic evil by the Catholic church and is open to debate for extreme circumstances.

If one doesn't agree with the Catholic church teachings they can choose not to be Catholic.

The best thing that could come out of this is that ND would lose all its right-wing Catholic contributors and have to finally serve the poor.

I never thought there were so many people who probably show up at Church on Sunday who think that their God would not invite the President into his own House. This smacks of a political treatment of the subject rather than an intellectual or spiritually guided treatment. It's lazy Christianity. It's the same mentality that possessed the Pharisees, I'll betcha!

It is a tough call for Catholics on the Obama issue. Those thinking of the world will choose one way and those thinking of the kindom will choose another. You can't look at pictures of the aborted fetuses and not see the resemblance to the death camp bodies. You just can't. I won't denigrate the president, but after his recent decisions, I won't listen to his spin either. As for Notre Dame, it's kind of like learning that the hero you looked up to was found acting indecently. It's not the end of the world, it's just sad.

You've heard of RHINOs.........well, some who call themselves Catholic are CINOs. That goes for Notre Dame and most colleges designating themselves 'Catholic.'

Wow, it still amazes me that people of "faith" harbor no compassion in their hearts and spout such vile hatred. Does this really do anyone any good? Who do you really care about? I saddens the heart of any truly "religious" or "spiritual" individual.
