Unfortunate is a word, it is unfortunate if a person is raped, molested or a product of incest. I am not gay, but for much of my life I've had an unbelievable appetite for sex with as many women as possible. I said I'm single, I'm not hurting anyone but fornication is sexual immorality, I was wrong. Judging my friend is when you actually judge like give a penalty or say whether someone will go to heaven or hell. I will never do that I believe and have faith in the bible I believe that God loves and will forgive us all if we admit our faults and strive to overcome them. Everyone has a different fight, for some it is being selfish, they give nothing to no one, but they may be married. Some people's fight is loving the same sex but they are extremely generous to all. No one is perfect, the goal is to improve in all things, be tolerant of other people short comings because you have short comings.Stating facts and judging are two different things entirely. No, Marriage should not be redefined in the dictionary because God has said a man should leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife

200 years ago a man's wife was pretty much his property. She couldn't own property herself, in most states.

100 years ago, marriages were same-race, in most states.

30-40 years ago, most women dropped "obey" from their marriage vows.

So who's been redefining marriage? Who HASN'T been redefining marriage?

To my eye, no one is trying to "redefine" marriage. It's still two people making a permanent commitment to love and support each other come what may.

What is the big deal here? If the two ladies down the street love and honor each other for ten or twenty years, does that take anything away from my marriage? What exactly do my wife and I gain from the folks down the street having to define their union as a "civil union"?

The religious conservatives' viewpoint is that of the dog in the manger: they gain nothing from violating gays' and lesbians' right to marry, but they insist on doing it. And they wonder why people call them unreasonable and bigoted!

I did not choose to be gay anymore than I chose who my parents are or my gender. I tried to "play it straight", but I was miserable. I've been in a gay relationship now for more than 5 years. I've seen traditional heterosexual relationships begin and end in less time. If gay marriage is so terrible, then why is it so easy to end a traditional heterosexual marriage? How does my gay marriage affect a traditional heterosexual marriage?

All I want is equality. I don't want special treatment or special rights. I want to be able to leave my hard earned social security wages to my life partner (for lack of a better term) when I die. I want to be able to visit my partner in the hospital if he should be in an accident. I want to be able to take advantage of the tax write-offs that a couple filing a joint tax return can have. These are just a few, but there are many more inequalities out there.

The Bible is book that too many people put faith in that has been translated by man numerous times and twisted to suit the desires of those who use it to control their followers. Learn to think for yourself without having to refer to a book for instructions on how to live your life. People make mistakes and learn from them. As long as you're not doing harm to others or yourself, then just live life and stop being narrow minded and judging of others. What's that bible verse.... Thou shall not judge lest thyself be judged (or something like that, I gave up on religion years ago).

Live is too short to fill with hate and intolerance. Learn to live, love, and let go of your misconceptions and you'll find that you will probably end up living a much happier life.
