This vicious woman's attempts to justify her support for the murder of innocents is despicable. May God forgive her and all those who elected a man who is destroying our country and advancing by leaps and bounds the culture of death which will lead us all to total perdition. She is not a Catholic, she is a pagan.

(for some reason this was cut off )-

The law is a pedagogue - witness what happened with Civil Rights. The change in the law preceded the change in the entire society.

For many (if not most) people, what is legal is morally acceptable.

Look at what happened with slavery. Do you see people in the South still arguing for slavery? Took a while for the transformation, but it happened and the law played a huge role in that process.

The state cannot sanction the murder of innocent human beings. Period. It's bizarre to even have to argue this, really.

And from a practical standpoint, look at attitudes toward abortion after it became legal - it must be okay, it's legal.

Travis,

The argument you put forward is just obfuscation, imo. No one will force a woman to go into a back alley in order to kill her own unborn child. If a woman does such a thing, that is a terrible, terrible shame. To my knowledge only China forces women to have abortions.

The answer is to continue to create more crisis pregnancy centers and to educate women to the fact that they ARE NOT ALONE. They have help.

The facts speak for themselves. When abortion became legal, the number of murders of unborn children absolutely skyrocketed.

So let's worry about stopping the murder of millions of innocent children, making it clear that we do not legally sanction the killing of unborn children as a "choice" first and then worry about how stringently and widely to punish.

Governor, please do not call yourself a Catholic. Your Bishop has asked you to no longer receive Communion. Please, cause no further scandal to the Church.

Remember Jimmy Carter- personally opposed but......

This supposedly Catholic Governor is a fraud devoid of common sense and real logic. She is typical of double speak politicians on both sides fo the isle that try to appease all sides and end up hurting the innocent as usual. Abortion is murder plain and simple and everyone knows it even though some people try to use double speak to get around the truth. Some day we will all be before God and we will not be able to outspeak or use lofty language to explain away our sinful choices. It will all be quite evident. Let us pray for this poor misguided woman who obviously is quite confused.

Ted of NJ 11:05PM March 03, 2009

She should concentrate a little more on what her Catholic Faith teaches. What----the gospel according to Nancy Pelosi?

Suppose I said, "A recent study finds that people don't get wet when they wear raincoats and carry umbrellas"? That's a no-brainer, because rainfall is a natural phenomenon that happens every day somewhere in the world.

But what about the governor's statement: "A recent study found the abortion rate in Kansas declines as employment opportunities, access to health care and support networks for women and children increase." That seems to imply that abortions are like the rainfall. They are going to occur no matter what, but in order to decrease their incidence, we must first provide women the support they need so abortion will be

unnecessary.

Wrong! The first thing you have to do to stop abortions is to...stop them. Just

because abortion is legal, people have come to assume that it's somehow just "part of

life" now.

Can I please point out the elephant in the room? It is the fact that abortion is the murder of unborn children, who are living human beings! In the name of all that is true and good: The first thing we have to do is STOP KILLING OUR CHILDREN!!! That in no way prevents us from taking care of the needs of the mother.

What Sebelius, Obama, and other politicians would have us believe is that it's perfectly acceptable to keep abortion (child-killing) legal, and even make it as easy as possible for women around the world to have access to it--as long as we provide them with other options.

Lord, have mercy on us!

Well, that is double talk if I have ever heard it. That is like saying I am a Democratic Republican or Republican Democrat. None of that exists. Why is it that so many of our politicians think the American public is "brain dead" and they can make ridiculus statements to us and can fool us. Lincoln said," You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time". Right on, Mr. Lincoln, that is the truth.

Anita of FL 9:31PM March 03, 2009

The only thanks I have to the Obama administration is that he took the governor away from Kansas! Katy, stay away from Kansas!
