It does not seem the Christian Community is willing to unite and stand up for their Religions. Not permitting the use of Jesus name in prayers is a slap in the Face of God.We are like Peter after Jesus crusifiction.."Thrice you will Deny Me." God help us all.If we are so Politicly correct to Deny our Christianity... God forgive us.and Cry for yOur Children and their Children to Come!!!!Remember God is GOOD

I'm sure Barrack Hussein Obama prays.... but I'm not sure to who. Does he pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob since he said he is a christian? His actions does not match who he claims to be. Either way, we must continue to love and pray for this president because our God commanded us to.

So proud of this President:I am sure he does pray and have a great inner faith--when we see him at those times with his eyes closed--I am sure he is asking God to help him through. I pray for our president daily that God will hold his hand and guide him: surround him with His angels and keep him safe.

"A New Tradition for Obama's Presidential Events: Opening With a Prayer

February 24, 2009 03:45 PM ET "

A new tradition for Obama'Presidential Events....does not include the National Day of Prayer? Not his event.

Barack Hussein Obama skips his middle name. flip flop...and only over the first 100 days. Will the real Barack Hussein Obama please stand up.... even to release his unreported, undocumented identity and birth place. Why hide it.

If true...why hide it from you>

No matter what President Obama does be it pray or not pray will be critized by one faction or another. Why we wouldn´t want to be ONE NATION UNDER GOD is a mystery to me. If we see something positive happening we need to be happy about it, not critical about it. We need to praise not pollute. I´m so tired of hate. I´m so tired of people really NOT doing what Jesus would do. I think He is tired of it too but I wouldn´t presume to insist that anyone see it my way.

If Pres. Obama missed const. law then you have never read the second sentence in the Declaration of Independence. Where do you think that we got our foundation that all men are created equal? Who exactly gives us that idea? It was based on "the Creator". You have also missed it.

Steve of GA, I don't think you are interpreting this right. It's not that the president is "distancing himself by not being in the smae building". For crying out loud, he's the first one to do it at ALL. That's regarding as drawing closer...not distancing. The fact that it's not televised nationally...yet...I think helps it from becoming a political hot potato at this point. Think about it, if you want to say a prayer, for this nation, what's your priority...to do it lower profile and more sincerely or to immediately make it the focus of a bitter, divisive debate at this critical point in time?

BTW, sounds like you borrowed some thoughts from Andy Stanley. But don't worry, I don't blame you...he makes excellent points...which is why I'm a member.

It's interesting to see the controversy of a Presidential prayer not given by the President. The President is actually distancing himself by not even being in the same building at the time it's offered. Does anyone know the last time a sitting President publicly prayed or even published a prayer? It might surprise you.

Do you folks that want God out of all Government know what the official Motto of the United States of America actually is, and who put it in there?

IN GOD WE TRUST - - Passed by an act of Congress in 1956

Saying the founding fathers didn't want God as part of this country is delusional. Go read the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution.

Let me get this straight. Someone else writes Obama's prayer, another vets is to see that it is politically correct, then Obama recites it from the teleprompter? Who is he praying to, the crowd? God cannot honor a prayer that is not from the heart. This guy is totally form over substance! It is the height of spiritual hypocrisy to use religious pretentions in an effort to gain political goodwill. Hopefully, the MSM will get tied of brown nosing this guy and the American people will see him for the charlatan he is.

MJLEWIS of AL 9:13AM April 24, 2009

Speaking to God on behalf of our country is nothing new. Our Founding Fathers didn't start a session with out asking God to be with them in their time together and in the decisions to be made on behalf our our country. If we, the people of the United States of America hope to continue on this earth, we had better continue to pray for His direction. Barack Obama needs our prayers. His cabinet, our Senators and Congressman need our prayers... they need to hear from the people, and that's me! I'm not happy or feeling secure in any way by the things that are happening in Washington or around the world where "our" representatives are making this United States of America look weak and stupid. Open your eyes and ears America. Get on your knees and pray that God has mercy on us. And, I do pray in the Son Of Gods Name, and that name is Jesus. I give thanks that I'm still free to do so publicly. How long will I be able to if "we the people" don't stand for our freedoms!
