Family Research Council Comes to Eric Holder's Defense

Two things:

1) If we can't have a civil dialogue about Holder's comments, then we haven't conquered racism. It's that simple.

2) Most blacks believe people are not color blind, while whites think they are. Unfortunately, the later group is wrong. Take the test: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/Study?tid=-1 and find our for yourself.

You can not have a real dialogue with African Americans because the minute you say something they do not like it will be considered hate speech and you run the risk of being prosecuted. Why don,t Mr. Holder and Mr. Obama address the high out of wedlock pregnancies multiple men and they do not take any responsibilities for them. Also address the high welfare and Drug use by them and try to find a solution.Quit blaming white people for all the problems the Black population has, God gave them a Brain just like the rest of us and it is time to use it and not rely on the Government to pay the way.Work for a living and life would be better.

People like Eric Holder, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton continue to stoke the flames of racism because it's the primary building block of their success and fortune. And to maintain their power and prominence, they must continually throw bombs into the political debate. It amazes me that many Americans continue to buy their garbage.

Here's an excellent blog by Aaron Miller that hits the nail on the head when it comes to race and culture today:

On Monday, I implore my fellow Americans to call the whitehouse, at 202-456-1414 to demand that Obama force Holder to resign. Obama stated that he represented all Americans, he's already broken so many promises, will he break this one as well? Eric Holder helped force a pardon for Marc Rich, a man who violated federal law, selling to Iran, while there was a ban on sales to that country. The profits Iran gained, have in turn been used to help fund insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan that have killed American troops. Also, Holder fought for pardons for radical Puerto Rican murderers, who killed innocent Americans.

When questioned on those pardons by the congress, Holder acted like a coward, stammering and making excuses. Now he has the gall to accuse American citizens, the ones from the only country in the world that addressed racism, that have fought and died together, Americans, black and white died together in wars, and on 9/11, and united as citizens together in the aftermath. Americans, black and white are suffering from the economic crisis, that was brought about by Eric Holder and his former boss, Bill Clinton's NAFTA and MFN status with China, and the outsourcing and displacement promoted by Obama, and the rest of the democratic majority in congress. The cowards are in the whitehouse, not the American citizenry.

I was annoyed by Holder's comments because I couldn't establish the connection in the Justice Department in this way. Knowing that he did not pursue an appeal on behalf of an affirmative action system gives the remarks a relevant context. Thanks, "Here's a mirror." But there is no denying that SOCIALLY we all tend to gravitate to those who look like us, avoiding the risk of engaging with those who appear different from us. And talking about it makes sense. Would we have this conversation if he had minced words?

Greg of AL would be hard pressed to identify programs that use racial classifications to award jobs or admission - the Bakke case in what, the 80s? - went a long way toward banning racial favoritism.

Just like any people who saw their lack of success as a result of discimination against their group, once legal, Greg is now seeing quota systems that are a figment of his imagination. He is trying to justify his anger at an economic system that promises success to those who work hard but can't deliver decent jobs. It's not black people who took your job, and it wasn't mostly minorities who took the mortages they could afford, Mr. White American Coward.

Yeah, I wish more of us put our faith centrally enough that we found the message more important than the people sitting next to us in the pews looking so much like us. Feel free to join my church, whose minister doesn't look like a majority of the congregants.

I am glad there are a growing number of families like R. Panther's. That is the real promise of this time, but open dialogue would be even better.

Eric Holder is speaking the truth and is indicting all Americans not just white Americans although he could have put it diplomatically. I understand that due to a long history of segregation some groups will not want to mingle with others. But, segregation is the nature of Americans. We do not have a history of segregation with Asians in Asia. However, I know several Americans who have lived in Singapore for over five years, but who have never mingled outside work with the locals and do not know much about the country they live in. This is particularly true of American women. Sad state of affairs! And as far as FRC is concerned, if they really believe in breaking down segregation, they would be addressing the issue to the segregated churches, black and white alike. A lot of so-called Church goers in this country worship their skin color, not Jesus Christ!

Right on Greg in AL. Holder and his transition team are the ones who failed to appeal the Rothe Development affirmative action case to the Supreme Court earlier this month. That means he knows that preferences by the Federal government exacerbate disparities and are not an appropriate remedy. Obviously if he believes otherwise he did not have the courage to put that belief into action earlier this month.

Different races elected Barack Obama. I believe Eric Holders 'indictment' is of people of European descent few of whom in American society had anything to do with slavery and restricting other races(principally African Americans) human rights. What are the responsibility of present European society to correct past wrongs, the consequences of which are felt in countries throughout the world where the Europeans landed after Balboa sailed around the bulge of Africa in the late l400's? This is what Eric Holder is addressing and all the races share an equal responsibility to this goal since we are in modern society (moral). I was born in South Africa and spent 32 years there before coming to Canada in l972 and of 'British' Indian extraction brought to east coast of South Africa to work in the sugar plantations. My two daughter in laws are of European extraction so we mingle freely weekends and otherwise with great love and respect.

I believe Mr. Holder to be correct, we have been cowards. Instead of responding and stamping out, in my opinion, the inflammatory responses and abuses by the race bating "black leaders" like Jesse and Al and their ilk, we have enabled them. Instead of shutting down the welfare programs since the "great society" which has done more damage to the black family than the KKK we have simply held our noses and poured in more money. Instead of holding blacks responsible for their own actions and the results, we have made excuses, promoted victimhood, and mandated racism by quotas and special treatment. AND now as a result of all this "white guilt" we have allowed trillions of dollars in worthless loans to be issued to people that had no business buying houses, and elected, in my opinion, an unqualified amateur largely because he is black, and is owed the opportunity. WE ARE COWARDS and appear to be heading to our own ruin because of it!

One of the white-American cowards, who has seen the error of his ways!
