Gee with all the problems for a President to solve today in America the President should have a Faith Based Council seeking Gods guidance to make the right decisions & Gods help in all things relating to our country & us if the President were a true Christian who doesn't want our Country to fail & crumble he wouldn't separate God & state & push away Gods Blessings & help! Nor would God want him to take away our freedoms & force Government Control on us & our Country & do the things to us & our counntry that he's forcing while he chums with all the other Marxist Socialist Country's. Proof Obama is NO CHRISTIAN but just the opposite which is Islam Muslim-Anti Christ!

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that expressly prohibits the United States Congress from making laws "respecting an establishment of religion" or that prohibit the free exercise of religion, laws that infringe the freedom of speech, infringe the freedom of the press, limit the right to peaceably assemble, or limit the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.BUT nowhere does it state that churches cannot participate IN government. To me, for churches to RECEIVE money from the government, they are relinguishing their free exercise of religion by bowing down to govenment dictates.

Do we need one? Seems to me Obama has enough to do without involving himself into religious action.

Most religious groups are well-organized in their aims to solicit money for their projects. If they don't have enough money, there is a general call to the faith's followers for workers and money.

I've been on mailing lists for a variety of church endeavors - my own and other faiths. There are radio and TV appeals, flyers, door-hangers and residential solicitors. So many, in fact that I have had to limit my donations to secular as well as religious entities or I wauld soon need to take my own place in line for help.

Let the religious take care of their own needs. The 360 million Americans need a strong hand at the tiller of the secular government.

I was admantly opposed to President Bush giving tax payer monies to these organizations, and was very disappointed that President Obama elected to not only continue but expand this act that clearly violates the "separation of church and state provision in our constitution. I voted for Mr. OBama, but will find out more about his motives before I again vote for him. I believe in a secular society as far as government is concerned. I hope he doesn't plan on using Bush's "Abstinence Program also!, or give government monies to promote "marriage".

What in the world is going on here? Why does the White House need a Faith-Based Office? It is an obvious combination of Church & State, no matter how many times you say it isn't.

Say it 500 times a day, then open your eyes - and there it is! Right in the White House!

C'mon people. Do they think we're totally BLIND?

You sound like a complete idiot! Obama ran on a platform of CHANGE and complete transparency. To appoint people who have "Made a mistake" on their taxes is irresponsible at best. By the way, you left of Geithner who should step down from his post. He managed to NOT pay taxes for FIVE years! That my friend is NOT a mistake! If we can count on these individuals to be responsible with their own finances, we don't dare want to entrust them with billions of tax payer dollars. Your attitude towards "Republicans" is absolutely terrible and for someone who supports Obama and his ideas, I cannot understand why you will not take his lead. Afterall, he is the President for everyone in America regardless to who they voted for and as a result he has to represent EVERYONE, not just democrats. Even the more, he is OBLIGATED to do what is best for EVERYONE in this nation, not some special interests.

It is amazing to see that someone believes this country can't find an honest and more qualifed person than Tom Daschle for Obama's nomination. Please, give me a break. Hypocrites!

I am writing to protest that my tax dollars have been and may continue to be, used to fund programs that openly discriminate and proselytize for one particular religious faith. Under the Bush Administration the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded millions of dollars in funding to World Vision to conduct various development programs throughout the world.

World Vision is a Christian organization that will NOT HIRE anyone, even for a short-term consulting contract, unless that person is both an avowed Christian AND signs and affadavit to follow their particular beliefs about Christianity. Morever, World Vision prosletyzes openly in countries where Christianity is not the predominant religion (although they claim otherwise). Consultnats MUST attend and lead Christian religious services in whatever country they are working.

I strongly believe that such practices are a direct affront to the separation of Church and State principles upon which our country was founded.

I AM SO ANGRY!

Tom Daschle, and Nancy Killefer are two of the finest, and most competent public servants you could possibly hope for in these appointments. They have been assassinated by the Washington healthcare lobby through their paid Bush Republican henchmen in congress. These Bush republicans are the same people blocking the economic recovery plan put forth by the Obama administration.

I am BURNING MAD America. And you should be too. Tome Daschle and Nancy Killefer were exactly what we needed to help turn this country around and fix our economy, and catastrophic healthcare crisis.

If I were their boss I would tell them to get right back to Washington. And dare congress to not approve them. How ridiculous is it to reject highly qualified people that this country needs just because they made a mistake on their taxes. Don't stand for that anymore America. They apologized, and paid their taxes, and that should be it. Their country needs them. But President Obama has to do what he thinks is best. I understand that. I'M JUST SO MAD at the anti American Bush Republicans.

Like many of you I have been trying to enjoy the after glow of this Beautiful historic election. But I see that the republicans in congress and their cohorts aren't going to be good sports, and LOSER'S!

SO BE IT!

In spite of President Obama's repeated offers, and gestures of collegiality to Republicans. Bush Republicans have seized upon every opportunity to stab President Obama in the back. And by doing so they are stabbing you, and the rest of the American people in the back. Well, you don't have to put up with that. And you shouldn't put up with that. President Obama has only been on the job two weeks. And he inherited two wars, and the worst economy since the great depression.

We had an election. And president Obama, and the democrats won BIG. And Bush Republicans lost miserably!

The Bush Republicans are the ones responsible for the worst economic crisis since the great depression. And the Bush Republicans are responsible for the worst healthcare crisis in American history. A healthcare crisis that is killing hundreds of thousands of you every year. Rich, middle class, and poor a like. Insured, and uninsured. Men, women, children, and babies.

President Obama, and the Democrats should take back all the concessions they granted the Bush Republicans, and tell them to put up! or shut up!

Everyone, start calling and contacting these Bush Republicans and tell them to stop blocking President Obama, and the Democrats recovery plan. And stop trying to block, and corrupt healthcare reform. Tell them to get on board with President Obama and the Democrats, or GET OUT!!

If these Bush Republicans refuse to cooperate I want all of you to immediately begin the process of removing them from office by every legal means possible. Including impeachment, and recall. I want you to bring the full weight and power of the movement down on their heads that swept President Obama, and the Democrats into control of the whitehouse, and congress. Take no prisoners. Use all the techniques you learned over this past historic election. Be flexible, creative, adaptable, and relentless like you were in the past.

To my cyber warriors I call on you again. You are among the best and the brightest. I call on you to move this fight from the cyber world to the living rooms, dens, and work places of the voters these Bush Republicans misrepresent. I know I can count on you. This is a fight worth fighting.

To my fellow World citizens. As an American I invite, and welcome you and your advise, input, and help. By delaying Americas recovery, and healthcare reform, these Bush Republicans are delaying our commitment to your recovery, and to being the better America for you that we aspire too.

I had hoped it would not come to this after our historic election. I had hoped that the Bush Republicans would respect the overpowering will of the people, and the World. But I guess not. All the Bush Republicans really care about is them-selves. Well, SO BE IT! Lets finish the job.

Sincerely

jacksmith --- Working Class :-)
