I was very disappointed in the rhetoric of Michael Steele as the RNC chairman regarding his departure from the National Republican Platform. The radical leftists in our culture don't want our tolerance, they want our tax dollars, they want Republicans to embrace their agenda. They preach tolerance except for Christian beliefs. The paradox is that they are recipients of the free speech rights, and equality that has its roots in Christianity. Until and unless the Republican party recaptures it's principles, it could threaten their success in the future. Every time we elect a so-called moderate to win, we lose. I agree with Tony, except that President Obama's agenda will eliminate any tax dollars for faith based programs that talk about the power of God.

Hate spewers like Perkins are who killed EVERY moderate RNC representative in the Northeast,Midwest, Southwest and reduced the RNC to a tiny regional party of Appelachia.

Bush's trio of queens who laughed them selves silly as gulliable doofuses like Dobson, Perkins, and Robertson let the door hit em in the butt on the way out of the White House with NOTHING!

The racists and homobigots like Tony Perkins who bought David Duke's KKK mailing list...have NO PARTY. You get rid of them from the RNC, and it'll be small enough to drown in a bath tub.

Tony Perkins is such a drama queen. And didn't he dress in his mother's clothes and kill that pretty blond girl in the shower? I mean really...

Clint of GA 1:20PM February 09, 2009

Why doesn't he just crawl back under that rock he came from....

George Fox of WA 12:57PM February 09, 2009

These folks who call themself social conservatives should look in the mirror and ask themself's, is the image looking back real? Are they really morally superior when so many social conservatives fail to live up to the standards they set for others? They have consistantly voted for hard right leaders who degraded everything they touched and brought us to a WAR against the world we now face. Now they whine that the gop has failed them and they need Obama to accept their venom and justify their bigotry and narrow minded views, You cant have him! Go back to your narrow little world and shrink until you are nothing! JUST GO AWAY !!!!!!!!!!

The problem is not the vehicle, the problem is the unwillingness of evangelicals to get involved at the grass roots level. Why try to start from scratch when we can take over the republican party without very much effort. We have the numbers but as a county chairman for the party I know how hard it is to get the rhetoric from evangelicals (I am one) in line with their actions.

It is easy to talk about what is right and wrong.... sit in the comfort of our churches and living rooms and never contribute time, effort and money to the process. Don't tell me what I need to do, come and help me do it! Believe me, 50 good volunteers in a county can literally take over the county politics.

Stop talking, whether your Tony Perkins, or the individual in the county that no one has heard of, get involved. I personally know what it is like to have to pay the bills and listen to people talk, talk, talk, and never do anything.

Put some legs on your prayers!
