It is good to know that the American Indian can be heard once again. It is to bad the person in the White House will most likely DO MORE DAMAGE THAT GOOD

I am so glad that the opening prayer was offered up by Chief Hicks. We need to be united during these hard times and really in all times. Division has been killing us for 100's of years. It is so cool that Chief Hicks has done this.

Depending on who you decide to translate in dilect most have

become accustomed. Spend time with elders who still have memory,

as well as personal experience.

I don't remember my elders deciding who was going to speak words

that are in my best interest, as most words, only express truth

fabricated from ideals, not of my own.

Our land taken from future generations aspiring to live in harmony. Our culture existence (philosophy) handed down from

generations > history, only told among our own, so where do I

go, or do we unite as many cultures do and perserve our rights

to live on land we know as home. Taken from our elders by illegal taxation, fraud (treaties)PUBLIC DOMAIN.

Yes, I can remember the security of living on land toiled by

my elders. I remember when we were self sufficient, living off

the selected land chosen for our future generation.

What an appropriate opening at a NATIONAL prayer breakfast;

Starting with the principal people of our nation. At long last, recognition as an intergal part of the history and the future of our country. I am proud to be associated with both Chief Hicks and with Amanda Wolf (miss Cherokee 2008-2009) who interpreted the prayer into english. Both are spiritual, upstanding members of society and a blessing to the nation of Cherokee and USA.
