Regardless of any court ruling, homosexuality will remain in the hearts and minds of the overwhelming majority of the world a deviant behavior and its practitioners to be pitied at best. The persons engaged in this behavior will always be thought of as abnormal because they are.You need to read your history, Mark. Regarding CA, this 'third world invasion' that has taken place has brought in a people who will not tolerate the things that us 'modern progressives' think they should. Where they come from, there is more than one way to deal with berdaches. Think about it, you'll see.

The court said the right to marry is so INEGRAL tp a person's human rights, it CAN NOT be reduced or removed by either the Legislature or by INITIATIVE.

America isn't run by the tyranny of the Majority, the courts make the playing field EQUAL for any individual to be on even footing with their government, and the courts DECIDE what is constitutional or NOT.

Markie! Pay attention fella! While same sex marriage is legal, it is far from perfect and will never legitimize the aberrant behavior, never gain acceptance for its practitioners! Thats history,Markie, not a prediction. You and I agree, Obama is peripheral in this battle (?) and if I were you, I wouldn't get my hopes up about who he may or may not appoint to the courts. You should check out whats' happening in Europe regarding the subject of homosexuality in general. As for CA, You really need to get in touch with who the majority is here, pal. Hispanics do not put up with that kind of hanky-panky, Markie, and they do not have a high regard for American law either.Oh, and by the way, there are more moral people than there are homosexuals, so you might want to reconsider that wedding day schedule!

RL,

You seem to have mistook me for someone who cares what you think.

Same sex marriages are perfectly legal in MA and CT,(soon Iowa, and New Jersey, and CA will toss out prop 8.)

Marriage EQUALITY isn't in question, it happens everyday. BOTH pro and anti same sex marriage groups KNOW within 20 years all of America will have same sex marriages, and the future citizens will look back at your hateful ignorance, EXACTLY as they look back at the racists who opposed inter racial marriages.

Obama is only peripheral in this battle, by the Justices and Judges he appoints, he may hasten the day marriage is EQUAL for ALL.

I think you got it, Beudroux! All the Dems (Blacks and Queers) finally got what the rest of us have had; a politician just like them who betrays them at the first opportunity! Welcome to the club, Bub!

Is this the "love the sinner" sh*t you so love to tout, three words for ya Sparky.

NO ONE on the list is a CHANGE from the near THEOCRACY of Cheney's reign.

Obama is welcome to cozy up to these folks,(none of whom voted for him), and those who funded, volunteered, and voted for Obama...WILL WALK.

ESPECIALLY OFFENSIVE is KKK-linked Tony Perkins who bought David Duke's KKK mailing list. Think 95% of African Americans who supported Obama want HIS support?

It seems that the 'change' Mr. Obama had in mind after all was from Republican to Democrat, thus the snake oil shake with the conservative side of the room. It appears the Democratic Party can claim ownership of the latest group to plead for 'equality' and 'justice', the homosexuals. Wonder how long it will take them to figure out that the Dems are the 'slam-bam, thank you mam (or sir, as it were) party. Really fellas, do you really think that being able to say "we're married" is going to change anything? The overwhelming majority of people in the WORLD will still think of you as an absurdity, something to be avoided, something to be pitied. You will never be thought of as 'normal' or as some one to admire or emulate. Please do yourself a favor and be glad that you are not hunted and killed as in the past (and still are in some countries today).

After the pleasent suprise of white america finally relizing that black or white we need a intelagent thougtfull president maybe just maybe they will also relize durring these tough times that less time spent on what gos on between poeple in there bedrooms is less time to get us out of the mess were in.I am saddend by the stand of black californians toke on prop 8.Gay poeple voted for Obama only to be slaped in the face by our black neighbors and I dont know if I can forget that. Now as I look around me when I ride the bus the sweet old lady with her funny wig crooked smile that I use to say good morning too I think this person proably voted against my rights and so now I just walk by her with no care about if she needs a hand getting up from her seat.Let her ask someone else becouse if Im not good anough to have the same rights as you than ask someone for a hand.

Navanethem Pillay, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights, spoke there this month saying, "That just like apartheid laws that criminalized sexual relations between different races, laws against homosexuality are increasingly becoming recognized as anachronistic and inconsistent both with international law and traditional values of dignity, inclusion, and respect for all.

Apartheid: A system of laws applied to one category of citizens in order to isolate them and keep them from having privileges and opportunities given to all others.

Stop gay apartheid.
