I totally agree with the comment written by "the bible" its one thing to put your hand on it but to read it and live it is another..besides if he's a Christian like he claims then his actions would be parallel to the Holy Bible. "And you will know them by their fruits Matthew 7:16" fruits meaning actions

i think if obama would read the bible and start seeking god our country would go a different direction we need men and women in office who fear god and who seek god daily.i think we have a bunch of people in office now who are crooks and i hope and pray they get saved and turn their lives around

Obama merely placed his hand on the Bible; Lincoln read it, knew it, and tried to follow it.

I Hope that Obama will be inspired by the words and deeds of Lincoln. If so, and he wants real change, he wioll start by throwing out the crooks that are killing this country. Namely the Fed Reserve Bank, and the IRS.

just because you didn't vote for him and he isn't george bush doesn't mean he is bad for our country. have some respect, please.

The use of Lincoln's bible was very fitting, Rev. Lowery's benediction however, left much to be desired.

Because Lincoln's Bible was chosen I found myself interested in American history again. It is interesting and fitting that this Bible was chosen.

Neither candidate was my first choice, but consider this: we may learn more about the power of prayer and politics than some of us believe is possible. When we pray for guidance for our new president and his cabinet, we pray for God's help for our troubled young country, as well as our freedom. I would not want anyone to be President of the United States alone.

You ask why does he get to use Lincoln's bible? Well why did those other presidents get to use George Washington's bible? Were they being presumptuous as well? Obama has been compared to former presidents based on his cabinet selections and the immensity of the problems he faces, and he is not the one who has drawn those comparisons. This talk about arrogance is a new double standard, plain and simple, and is just a continuing echo of partisan nonsense.
