Pentagon Chief Panetta: U.S. Will Do 'Everything' to Stop Iran

With all due respect to John and Alan...

I believe the term is "wielding, not fielding Atomic weapons."

It's not about how Obama has disarmed the U.S, you may have it all wrong, it's called fine tuning, do we really need numerours bases per state when 1 - 2 with response times from airborne assetts being seconds as opposed to the minutes it takes now to figure out who and which base should respond to which situation?

I hope you're not serious that a President would ever bow down to a psychotic country who would love nothing mroe than to see not only the Jews, but all whom they define as infidels, die.

If you look at the past few years of successful terrorist capture and kill rates, on Obama's watch Sadam is dead, Bin Laden was Double tapped, Khadaffi's dead, our troops are home from Iraq and soon to be home from Afghanistan....

I'd be willing to agree although Obama may not be willing to go to war, he'd indirectly support Israel's conecpt of taking out the reactors, pulverising Iran's annoying speedboats and sending a clear and present signal this President doesn't take sh-t from anybody and is willing to support countries direct or indirect whom want peace and democracy to prevail.

It's not a perfect world and the latter doesn't come easily, yet as we sit and focus on criticque, I didn't notice either of you offering an alternative solution.

Mine is simple - Jointly every free nation should bomb a nice hole where Iran once was & fill it with the worlds sh-t as a subutle reminder of the very thing which once occupied it.

"Washington must "do everything we can to prevent" Iran from fielding atomic weapons."

This means that Obama will do "everything", starting with unilateral disarming of the U.S. followed by slashing our military and then apologizing to Iran for the "evils" of America.

That's just about "everything" leading up to U.S. total capitulation.

Sorry Leon, but I do not believe Obama would go to war over this issue. He hates the Jews and Israel and he isnt so thrilled about our country either. There is nothing in Obama's past statements or actions that would indicate he is willing to go to war over this.
