So you believe that an eighty percent cut of our nuclear deterrent and giving the Russians our secrets to our ABM data will make us stronger, and that cutting the soldiers and marines by hundreds of thousands will provide a more effective military.
You forgot to mention that the military was a hollowed out military which on paper was capable but in actuality was not able to muster the manpower and materiel needed to respond to security threats under Carter and Clinton. This president seeks to do the same.

Wrong.
When tough times hit the American home, is the first thing they do is cancel alarm system, cancel their life and health insurance or dramatically reduce it. Nope.
Let's maybe take a look at the $1.4 trillion a year we spend (half of all US gov income annually) on entitlements. This is larger than China, Germany, Japan and UK entitlements COMBINED.
When half of your budget goes to something like this there is a problem.
Second, over half of all US citizens pay NO taxes. Problem.
Let's make our cuts to defense as it surely needs it as Paentta describes, but let's not be irresponsible withe the sovereignty of the free world because we were horrible at managing our budget.

If I where Leon Panetta I would ask Obama to Set up a "Special" Emergency "Intelligence-Breifing" Have it televised to the American People and Sell The "Public" and "Government" why we need to INCREASE "Defense" "Spending" The Senate Intelligence Comittee Could Question Leon Panetta and "Other Experts" Like Head of the CIA and DIA. Asking for a 500 Billion increase in "Defense Spending" Given current volitility in "Global Defense Threats" to "Peace" like Iran's Underground Nuclear Facilities....Syria....North Korea...Egypt...Pakistan/India....and...Terrorists...IT IS NO TIME TO CUT! INVESTMENT IN DOMINANCE FOR "Peace". Particularly....with..the many.."Fields"/"Theaters" of "MODERN WAREFARE". While technologies are banding up exponentially. We Will Not Cut "Spending" When Its "Investing" for Humanitarian Global Stability" It also Creates Jobs and Spikes up the Economy....It is not Contrarian Theory.

"Spending" on "Defense" is a Reverse-Euphamism for "Investing" on "Offence"/"Security". Military Dominance "Aids-Peace". What is "The Opportunity Cost Analysis" Of not Spending the 500 Billion Dollar cut proposed to the Pentagon. Social Global Costs could be 5.6 Trillion for not "Spending" and/or "Investing" in "Defense"/"Dominance"/"Offensive Ability".

Leon Panetta Former director of the CIA and current Secretary of Defense is smooth and tactful. He knows the "Classified" threats this country is faced with, which many in "congress" and the "senate" would not be privy too. Given this and President Obama's confidence in Panetta. I would think that it is doubtful that United States Security and Defense needs would or even could be breached given the system of Government, Free-Enterprise and The Illuminati's "New World Order". Leon Panetta is Intelligent and has a close working relationship with other experts like Colin L. Powell, General David Patreus and the "Highly Bright" Vice President Joseph Biden. Though we are a Democracy, we have the ability to mutate to a "Monarchy" or "Socialist Stance" given the Security interest of this Nation and the domain the "problem" or "Issue" encopasses.
