Kentucky Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes raised more than $4 million in the last fundraising quarter, the largest total for a Senate candidate during the 2014 cycle.
That haul leaves Grimes with $6.2 million heading into the final four months of the campaign against GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
To date, the Grimes campaign has raised more than $11 million. McConnell has piled up almost double that at $21 million and had $10 million in cash on hand at the end of April.
The McConnell campaign has yet to report its second-quarter fundraising numbers.
