How does the comedian feel about Obama's use of federal resources to jackboot their way into California and Colorado and deny effective herbal medications to medical cannabis patients? Not too funny in my book. How does the rich comedy guy feel about the civilians and children killed by our drones and by our 5000 sorties over Libya and how does he feel about the riots against us in Afghanistan after so many civilian deaths there, or about all the other unconstitutional military actions taken by President Obama?
Mahar is a talented comedian, but his politics are confusing.

The politics here revolves around quality of the candidate and money. Neither of these two things would win elections singly.
Though an independent voter, I think, under the present circumstances, Mr. Obama will win because the quality candidate does not seem to be there to oppose him successfully.And whatever economic difficulties exist for the common citizens,these are partially due to the negative attitude of his opponents.
The only thing to repent is that countries like Australia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Brazil and many in the democratic world have been able to identify women chief executives from time to time.Why not America in centuries? While we claim to be the world champions to empowering women, this lack of wisdom pinches.
Another factor is the need for quality leadership which could help us maintain peace globally, create more friends, resolve differences via negotiations, not war, and help eradicate the evils of poverty throughout the world.And we need quality leadership to coordinate efforts in resolving our serious economic problems like mounting debts/deficits/unemployment and boosting our export earnings instead of cutting the retirement benefits etc. Presently, out of the two. Mr. Obama seems to be the next winner. They have been mudslinging against him and some of the narrow minded religious leaders are also knowingly or unknowingly indulging in such electioneering drama, but we Americans, can't be hood winked.
Once we elect a president, and once he takes the oath according to the constitution, he becomes the president of the whole country. If he wins a Nobel Prize, like Mr.Obama did, he should be honored by all of us.If he produces for us a good program like his health initiatives, employment efforts, poverty eradication, banking/financial/fiscal reforms all must support in public interest instead of doing party politics.
Last time I observed, the moment Mr.Obama (not my relative) took office, some of the media moguls, and those who were defeated, (not all) began challenging the birth status, religious standing and many negative aspects against an elected American president.This I think was much much against the American culture/values and respectability to the Head of the State and the Commander-in-Chief.Whosoever wins this time, let us make sure the defeated elements don't repeat such unhealthy practices. The world expects quality leadership from us. Let us set some golden standards according to the wishes and aspirations of our forefathers like George Washington.
