Good the kid is interested. My own son is nearly the same age and is a strong Ron Paul supporter because he values freedom.

Young Mr. Martinez needs to consider winning the general election, not the nomination, when there's barely a difference between Obama and Romney. Why would the nation's 40% independents vote for either one?

Go out and vote your convictions, FL!

lee5843of CO, here is the problem with the GOP, they profess to limited government and pro liberty and freedom, except when it comes to one's personal life. The two just don't add up. I for one consider myself to be a Conservative with Libertarian leanings and the GOP is the closes thing that represents my views, but when one of the GOP talking heads (for example Santorum) starts telling me what is moral and what is right, then I sit back and think, boy that is really getting government out of my life? Then I look at Romney and think why is he in the GOP field, he should be the third party middle of the road nominee.

If the GOP would adopt a platform base on Congressman West speech then I would be all in. See the link below.

Thank you, US News for proselytizing a child with establishment media bias. I mean, you are known for your Best Colleges ranking every year where you sell yourself to highest college booster bidder. US News has sooo much integrity! ;-)

We need to vote for the guy who has actually accomplished something------Newt may have had a good idea with Contract with America, but he never finished the job! Mitt Romney made money for MA, made money for the Olympics, and made money for Bain. Let's get a WINNER in the White House. Not a guy who is not supported by his former collegues and is finaced by a casino owner who made all his money through government influence getting his casinos put in China, etc.

So now a 14 year old's political analysis is news, come on!

It should not be about "the only one that can win", it should be about the best qualified to do the job of getting this country back on track.

The knowledge of our history, our Constitution, and how to get things done on DC. Newt is the most qualified and the wonderfully job of wrapping that the media has tried to put on Romney has failed. Most of us can see right through him and know he is at best “middle of the road” if not” Liberal Light”.

Obama is hoping and praying that Romney gets the nomination because he has a mountain of attacks left over from the 2008 election that they didn’t end up needing.

It is time for bold defined differences and let the American people pick the direction they want.
