White House officials say Obama will talk about the need for tax fairness and renew his argument that millionaires should have to pay more. He will condemn a House Republican budget plan as a "Trojan horse" and "thinly-veiled social Darwinism" that would hurt working families, according to White House officials.
Obama has tried, with some success, to upstage the GOP candidates before. In March, after shutting out the media for months, he held a news conference on the same day as Super Tuesday, when several key GOP primaries occurred.
