jwal of CA said, "what about gingrich's role in bringing down clinton for infidelity?"

jwal of CA makes a good point, so I guess that makes Newt a hypocrite now....doesn't it!

The people who called themselves "Tea Party" that voted for Newt do not have a clue what the Tea Party is about. They are just "establishment" Republicans who latched on to the Tea Party movement for their own convenience. Newt Gingrich does not represent anything related to the "real" Tea Party movement that started during the 2008 presidential campaign of Ron Paul. These so-called 'Tea Party" people that voted for Newt are a sham!

what about gingrich's role in bringing down clinton for infidelity?

Character matters.....plain and simple! Newt Gingrich did his usual song and dance distraction at the January 19th South Carolina debate by deflecting well-deserved criticism regarding his past infidelity. He tried to make John King out to be the bad guy for asking the question, when John King had all the right in the world to do so. This is the Presidency we are talking about folks! Everytime Newt's dirty laundry makes the headlines, Newt puts on this pompous and holier-than-though act to create a smokescreen, and to pander to his clueless supporters in the audience. I still can't understand how Newt was able to turn the tables on the media, or why anyone in their right mind would applaud Newt for being a pathetic liar and cheater. Newt stated that the accusations against him were false, and that he has friends who can back up his claim. So I guess Newt is saying that his friends were with him everywhere he went during that 8 year period that he was having an affair (even in his bedroom). Yeah right, we believe you Newt....sure we do! Some people have probably never heard the adulterous misadventures of Newt Gingrich, so I will summarize it for those people.

Newt cheated on his first wife while she was battling cancer, and then asked her for a divorce when he was caught. He then married cheater #1 (wife #2) and proceeded to have an 8 year secret affair on wife #2, or until he again was caught. He then asked wife #2 if she wanted to swing with cheater #2 (wife #3) but wife #2 did not want to have a three-some with Newt and Calista, so wife #2 asked Newt for a divorce and Newt married wife #3. Now normally, just the cheating on the first wife with cancer should have been enough to completely disqualify Newt but apparently he thinks that inquiring about his character when he is running for President of the United States is more offensive than the act that he committed himself. This is the guy who was persecuting Bill Clinton for his Oval Office romp, while at the same time doing things much more disgusting. Can we all say "hypocrite"! We have not even touched on the things that Newt did to enrich himself at the taxpayers expense, the flip-flopping, or the fact that he is not the genius that he believes he is. Newt can only be explained with two words....."human garbage"!
