he defended the mid class in 08 campaign pointing out the mass. state mandate that everyone must have healthcare or be fined was making families "no better off".

now he passed the same plan. some families will have to starve in order to pay premiums.

so scew the mid class screw the rich plus increas taxes 30%. VOTE OBAMA 2012

Both parties should have their arses whipped for the way they have destroyed this country.

What a completely ignorant read....figures, its from USNews, a waste of bandwidth.

Oh, and no the GOP debacle does not guarantee a Obama victory next November. One month is a life-time in politics, just ask Sen. McCain. A lot can happen between now and next Nov. By election time, this will all have been forgotten.

There is nothing wrong with our government, it's the way we elect them. We need gerry-mandering reform. Don't even need human beings to draw up districts, a simple computer algorithm can split up a state with equal populations and land mass to produce districts. No more "safe" seats.

We need each state to reject caucus and closed primary systems. Only the fanatics show up for caucuses. Pubs and Dems are both minority parties, but it's their members who decide who we get to vote on in the elections. Consquently, moderates and independents are locked out of the nominating process. If every state had a cross-over open primary system then the left-right wingnuts would lose all their power. The sane rational middle moderates would have a lot more say and a lot more would get done.

It takes 60 votes in the Senate to get anything done. Why? Shouldn't it be 51? That part of Congress is definitely broken. Senate needs to go back to basic democratic principles, which is, the majority rules, not the super-majority

yep. it's still a one party system. Dems all the way ! God help us all and lead us to a third party that can take back the government FOR the people.

Reaganomics is very clear about the benefits of being rich. You pay no taxes if possible and you get the half bakes to work long hours with little to no benefits. Of course, you should also make every effort to poison the air and kill the environment while you are at it. (we like to call that being efficient or creating jobs). I suppose if you don't like it you could vote Republicans out however that isn't going to happen since we have cut funding to so many schools that if you are not in a private school, you have no hopes of challenging the rich. Meritocracy? dream on folks. You need to be rich for that to mean anything.

Fire all the boneheads in Congress. Repubs will abolish anyone who is not RICH! No taxes for the Uber-Rich, tax the payroll of working Americans. Sheesh

Let us not leave the American citizens (I mean the HUMAN American Citizens) out of those who have voiced their frustration that Congress, on both sides of the aisle, are obstructive and unyielding.

According to recent polls, nearly 76% of Americans of every political party are frustrated with U.S. Members of the House and the Senate who are not paying the least attention to their human, voting constituents, and are not willing to compromise on decisions that affect us all.

Yet, in decisions that affect corporations, too many of our Representatives and Senators are eager to ingratiate themselves with lobbyists and C.E.O.s, by voting only for corporate interests.

It is time to get rid of the people loafing in washington and get fresh faces and set term limits,as a taxpayer it is time for all of us to demand in 2012 the greatest change. Like a lot of working people I spent 40 years in underground coal mines,I know what hard work is,seen a lot of people hurt and even killed because of lax laws by this kind of people in washington,It is way past time for all the people to rise up and show these people the the way home and get new people in there that want to get the job done. Not the one percent or 99 percent but all of us,lets man up and get the job done this year, are you up to it,its our country and it is way past time for us to make changes. Watching what is going on is making me sick,I have never said anything till now but cant stand it any longer what do you think,as one good man said LETS ROLL IT IS TIME.
