Swooning in Iowa. Ron Paul Winning in Iowa with Cain supporters and now the young votes. Swingover is final key for Pauls win.

BOONE, Iowa — At a town hall meeting in a small library here, Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul said he hasn’t quite figured out why many of his most loyal supporters are young, despite that he is in his seventies.

“You know, I’ve been asking that question myself for a long, long time,” he said to a crowd of about 100 people who crammed into a small room to hear the presidential candidate speak, many of whom chucked at his answer.

Paul said, “It used to be that parents would drag high school kids to my office and say, ‘you know, we’re having a civic lesson today. This is your congressman.’”

“But now, the young people drive their parents to my office and the parents admit it and say, ‘he got me interested in what you’re doing.’”

“That excites me when I hear that,” Paul added.

Paul, who is registering in second place in Iowa according to the latest Des Moines Register poll, said he’s not sure he knows “the exact answer” for why this is the case.

“I’d like to think — I talk a lot about freedom. Freedom is a young idea. It’s only been tested in the history of the world for short periods of time… Young people are more open to new ideas than some of us, you know, that get stuck in our old fashioned ways,” Paul said. If you don't know why his foreign policy is spot on then you need to see who's joining the ranks of Ron Paul's foreign policy supporters such as University of Chicago professor Robert Pape who's studies have shown that over 95% of ALL suicide terrorist attacks are because of FOREIGN OCCUPATION!!; Dr. Michael Scheuer, Georgetown University Security Studies adjunct professor and former head of the CIA’s “Bin Laden Unit;" Harvey Sapolsky, emeritus professor of public policy and organization at MIT; Christopher Preble, vice president for defense, foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute; Paul Craig Roberts, former editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal,Business Week, Scripps Howard News Service, and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration

Iran has not attacked outside its borders in over 200 years. I dont believe its going to do so any time soon, Ahmedinejad notwithstanding. The specter of Iran using nuclear bombs has been initiated by Israel, which in order to turn the world's attention away from its own unlawful swallowing up of Palestinian lands, bit by bit, is crying wolf. Ron Paul is right. We need improvement of our relations with Iran starting with trade. We also need improvement of our relations with Cuba. The strong Cuban lobby in Florida is holding us hostage, and preventing a resolution.

My God, this Ron Paul guy is either naive or dellusional. Khameni is a religious nut, more obsessed than Hitler, and no free trade or negotiations will stop him.

Once again, Dr. Paul shows why we need him as President. He is a thoughtful statesman. He has my vote in the NH primary. The others would all lead us into more war. I would vote for Obama before I'd vote for any of the other GOP candidates.

All of this fear mongering s@#t has gotta stop. The public should demand a removal of these criminals. Period. By any means necessary!

Either we are free or we are not.

This is WAYYYY past time and totally out of control with these absurd government criminals here in the US.

They are giving us GOOD people a bad global reputation.

This is NOT my government. The United States government is some kind of criminal organization that needs to be either corrected or abolished!

I would be proud to say this is my government, if it were acting within it's constitutional boundaries!

Truth is infectious. The more people know, the better!

GO RON PAUL 2012!

A Ron Paul - Jon Huntsman ticket for 2012 would encompass everything that America needs to move our country, finally, into the 21st Century. Think about it: a ticket that will seriously reduce debt, speak the mother tongue of our current landlord, re-instill honesty into the US political environment and cover 80% of the political needs and aspirations of the entire country. This card carrying Democrat is own his way down to the print shop to make Paul-Huntsman 2012 T-shirts before the day is over!

Ron Paul really needs people to register republican for your state's primary/caucus if he ever has a chance to win. The primaries/caucuses DO matter just as much as the general election!! Changing your party to Republican or register to vote for the first time can be done online (printed out and mailed may be part of the process too) at bluerepublican.org/welcome-to-blue-republican/
