Obama's Re-election Threatened By Sour Mood

Hey "ANONYMOUS of WA," I've got a news flash for ya: MOST of us who voted against Obama aren't racist. And you're the pot calling the kettle black, aren't you, with your quip about the "White Bush." You know, it's funny... I don't go around calling Lieberman the "Jewish Lieberman," Romney the "Morman Romney," and Cain the "Black Cain." For the record, my husband voted for Obama in the primaries, but not in the general election. IN 2012, I'll be voting for Romney, because even though I think Obama talks a good game, he's done nothing, in my opinion, to move this country forward. He's a planner but not a doer, and I've seen him sit on the sidelines while the country fights to move out of a recession--and out of Iraq. He's also made other promises he hasn't kept. He reintroduced the Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act in 2007 when he was still in the Senate, but it never became law. Another thing he said he'd do but hasn't: meeting "separately, without precondition" with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea. (He said he would on July 27, 2007, but still hasn't.) And While I don't expect Obama to break bread with leaders of countries formerly referred to as part of the "axis of evil," he continues to favor diplomacy over the hard-lined Bush era. He also hasn't eliminated income taxes for seniors--something he promised, back in 2007, that he would do for any retiree making less than $50,000 per year.

Those are just a few of the campaign promises Obama hasn't kept. And I haven't even touched on his plan for health care reform, which I think is a complete and utter disaster (case in point: the health care "benefits" that my military friends--and living in the Washington, D.C. area, I have a lot--get), or about the government bailout of big business, which continues to draw criticism.

The one thing I applaud Obama for is getting rid of Osama Bin Laden. That was an excellent move on his part. Is that enough to get me to vote for him, though? Um, no.

So, while I won't vote against Obama because he's black (again, Anonymous of WA, seriously???), I think my reasons to vote against him are more than valid. My question for you: Why will you vote for him in 2012?

The country is a mess--anyone can see that. And why numerous people can be blamed for the mess we're in, he's still the guy at the top of that mess. Most head coaches who operate in the manner Obama has operated in would get fired for less; just ask former Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau and University of Mississippi coach Houston Nutt (Nutt is retiring at the end of the season).

Obama's reelection is imperiled by his lack of performance, his leadership-less presidency, and backward ideology. He's just not very good at his job. His policies hurt the folks most. Does he think that we haven't noticed? He deserves retirement. He will lose 54-46.

OBAMA MAY BE THE BEST OF THE WORST

Right now, I couldn't imagine voting for Obama again. He has been a major disappointment. Although he mumbles an acceptable game, his actions have been Bushy; Obama has followed Bush's policies faithfully, and in some cases has been worse than Bush (I know, hard... right?).

But unless the Republicans come up with a better alternative than the current crop of Bozos (with the exceptions, maybe, of Huntsman and Paul, neither of whom have a ghost of a chance of being nominated), I might have to vote for Obama again... with, sigh, regret and profound disappointment.

WHY DON'T YOU TELL ME SOMETHING NEW???? THIS IS NOT NEWS TO ME OR ANYONE ELSE. IF THE PRESIDENT WAS A TRUE LEADER(WHICH HE IS NOT) THEN THE SO CALLED SUPER PANEL WOULD HAVE COME TO A FORMIDABLE PLAN TO GET OUR ECONOMY BACK ON TRACK. BUT THE PRESIDENT CHOSE TO STAY IN THE BACKGROUND SO HE COULDN'T CATCH ANY BLAME. ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!!

... and, oh yeah, "sour headlines." Did I mention that?

Obama's re-election is certainly threatened, more by his impending loss of the Democratic base and, even more, by headlines like yours than by the "sour mood" of the average American. The average American is more sour on runaway greed and Congress.

Not so hard to figure out why Obama has a solid 45% ( Thats Questionable ) Thats the exact number who DON'T PAY TAXES ANYMORE. Hence the push by the Democrats to create a voting block of government welfare dependents who will vote government and more goodies from the Treasuries with the 54% paying for the freeloaders.

The day after the election people will say obama who.

I voted for him, and I'm disappointed. Not so disappointed that I would vote for the war mongers and bible thumpers in the GOP. EXCEPT Ron Paul. There is a guy I'd vote for.

Matt S Miller of CA 6:55AM November 27, 2011

Ron Paul would be that "third party or independent candidate" who would siphon off votes from the Republican ticket thus killing their chances for a conservative majority. But what this piece doesn't contemplate, and which is a much more interesting possibility, is the likelihood that if Paul was that person, and if he were to split off after the primary, that he would also siphon off a substantial number of votes from the progressive side (ie, Obama).
