although i don't think following the money counts as "gunning" for him. all public officials should undergo such scrutiny.

Gingrich is clearly part of the problem, NOT the solution!

I'm not crazy about Newt but one thing is for sure, I, like 99% of the Republicans will be voting for him if he is the nominee. Anyone but Obama.

One thing for sure. 99% of Republicans and most independents will vote for whoever is running against Obama. That's just the facts.

Raule of LA 1:04PM November 16, 2011

I think he probably will be the nominee. The Dems and the media want Romney but I think most Republicans can see thru that. Newt will be OK if you stays on task and doesn't get to cerebral.

ike how all the liberals jump on the band wagon and comment about the negatives about Newt, and ignore all the negatives about Obama.

One of the main reasons I just can't stand to watch Letterman anymore. He did all those negative spots on stupid thing Bush use to say. Then tried to tell us that Obama didn't say any. Or just showed us clips of him saying normal things from a telepromter. IGNORING all the stupid things obama has said. Like I've been to 57 states and have one more to visit......

the doughboy sleazoid makes Clinton look like a choirboy.

and his supporters look like unprincipled tools, so desperate for anybody but Romney that they'll jump in bed with a Serial Adulterer and ethically bankrupt ultimate Washington insider. eeeewwww! who's next in line for cons, Jerry Sandusky?

If marital infidelity prohibits someone from becoming President then a lot of past Presidents should not have been elected (Ex: Kennedy, Clinton, LBJ, Ike [?], etc, etc.

Regarding his working with Clinton, the ability to compromise for the greater good is a plus. This dogmatic rejection of anything coming down the pike from the other side is one of Boman's weak points.

Gingrich needs to be judged on his core beliefs, not all the personal peccadillos that he and vitually all his rivals (and the rest of us, for that matter) have accumulated over the years.

I'm leaning in his direction...

Don't forget this moron wanted to cut all funding to poor families when he was speaker. then take all their kids and open up orfanages and stick them in them because he grew up in one. Really, is this the garbage you want as president? idiots!!

Only Newt would go out of his way to publicly attack other politicians for their ties to Fannie and Freddie, knowing all the time that he himself had been on the payroll to the tune of $1.8 million.

And, having been called on it, only Newt would try to claim he was paid to be a "historian" and "strategic advisor" -- to Freddie's in-house chief lobbyist.

The man really is psychotic -- and so, apparently, are a lot of conservatives if they really think this guy is a credible presidential candidate.

Obama and company have got to be laughing their you-know-whats off over this.
