"Brookings Expert Says If Election Were Today, Romney Would Win"

Please.. Experts also said Ronald Reagan would lose in 1980 also.. So, when it comes to so called experts, on what the People, want and vote for, and do not want, will not vote for, they are about as accurate, as a dart board..

Secondly, the dog catcher would beat Obama, if the election were held today.. Conclusion, never believe anything any prognosticating punditary expert, or media skewed polls to tell you.. period.

Romney doesn't have the support of the far right or the tea baggers. I can't see them voting for him.

Since Cain is polling 3-5 points ahead of Romney, how is Mitt the "apparent GOP front-runner"?

I'm not so sure that Brookings is right. I think if you polled various Occupy groups the first choice would be none of the above. The second choice would be for the candidate who admits that Wall Street has used greed, graft, and gambled with the American taxpayers lives, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Romney has been quoted numerous times with: "Corporations are people too my friend." Being a business man tied to Wall Street with new G.W. Bush "advisors" I'm not so sure Romney would win. If so it will be a repeat of torn chads in Florida in which Romney will win because he has the backing of Jeb Bush and of course if it went to the US Supreme Court the gang of 5 would lean to the right.

The Voice and Vote of The American People will be Ron Paul who speaks of Liberty and Freedom through a free market society uncontrolled by a federal bank system which has enslaved us all by manipulating our currency and debt.

Ron Paul 2012 !

Mitt Romney Can Not Win the General Election

Does this so-called "expert" know that Mitt Romney will be the political equivalent of John McCain, Bob Dole and Michael Dukakis if he should somehow win the Republican nomination for president? Romney is NOT a conservative, he is a notorious flip-flopper, and he will not be able to get the support of true Conservatives, Independents, Libertarians, disillusioned Democrats, the Tea Party, and especially Ron Paul supporters. How can Romney possibly win the presidency without all of these different groups? He can't!!

Romney's 23% support consisting mainly of Mormons and Wall Street types will not cut it! If by some miracle Romney should even win the nomination, you might as well just stay home on election day because 23% support will not win the presidency.

It's time to get behind the one candidate who has the support of just about every constituency except for Federal Reserve employees, and that candidate is Ron Paul!

Ron Paul 2012!!

Mitt is the real deal and he will make America proud once he moves into the White House. It's just too bad the American public has to wait ...

The odds of seeing several "rules of thumb" shattered this time are very high. "No incumbent reelected with unemployment above 7.2%" is definitely at risk. The economy will be meaningful, but 7.2% is so far out of the possibilities that even 8.2% would be a tremendous recovery by next October. We think Obama will have a 43% approval rating and could still win. That would break another record. http://bit.ly/tCF2YQ
