Romney Campaign Confident in Frontrunner Status

Yes, Mitt will get enthusiastic libertarian Republian support. He's got some libertarian leanings being a fiscal conservative/social moderate.

The Ron Paulists just don't want to support any other Republicans who are nominated, even Gary Johnson.

We libertarians will be fully behind Mitt Romney for President.

Mitt Romney may be confident in his "frontrunner" status but that will all end very soon. Herman Cain has already worn out his welcome as the "flavor of the month" frontrunner and will be jumping on the slide to irrelevancy with Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann, leaving only Ron Paul to leave Mitt Romney in the dust along with Mitt's never-changing 23% standing in the polls. You see, Mitt is NOT going to win the nomination because Mitt will never get the wide base of support that is necessary to win. Ever wonder why Mitt does so well in states like Utah, Nevada, and Michigan? Mitt is counting on the Mormon vote to win the Republican nomination but he will need a lot more than 23% to do it. He will need the support of Tea Party Republicans and Libertarian-Republicans; something that he will never have. If by some miracle he did win the nomination, he would be doomed in the General Election, where he would have to appeal to college students, Libertarians, Independent voters, and even Democrats to win. These are all constituencies that have already found a candidate in Ron Paul, so how does Mitt think he is going to change this simple truth. Mitt Romney really should just pack it up now and admit to himself that he does not have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the presidency. This is the one thing about Mitt Romney that I am "confident" about!
