Herman Cain's "Win" Means Absolutely Nothing

There are a few reasons why Herman Cain won this not-so-important straw poll in Florida. I will start with the main reason which is quite simple.....most of the candidates did not appear, so Herman Cain won by default. Besides Cain, the only other two candidates who showed up were Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann.....a hack politician and an idiot! Herman Cain was looking for something to boost his sagging ratings, so he gave what equated to a sermon to a room full of Florida's most entrenched establishment figures with almost no competition to compete against. It wasn't rocket science that the Pizza Man was able to excite the audience more than the manequin or the woman who multilates her history. The next reason why Cain won this particular Florida straw poll was probably due to sympathy for his statements during the last debate pertaining to his battle with cancer. Tugging at the heart strings of your audience is always an effective way to win a few votes. Finally, with Rick Perry's support and polling going into the toilet, this audience was looking for a way to both punish Perry for his pathetic debate performance, and to marginalize Ron Paul for skipping this event (for good reasons).

If this were a truly worthwhile event, Ron Paul would have been there.....but it wasn't! It's funny though that whenever Ron Paul wins a straw poll (even the important ones), the media won't report on it but when Herman Cain wins a meaningless straw poll essentially by default, it becomes big news. Talk about a double standard!
