Dear Ms Eve Ensler, I thank God for You, I pray you have continued strength to pursue your vision quest, I am greatly effected by your efforts and am in alignment with your concerns. The serious nature of violence and the lifelong affect it has on victims is real, recovery without support is impossible. I pray, those who commit acts of violence on others are brought to justice. May we as a society Stand Up to violence, Stand Up for the rights of all people, Stand Up and state it is our right to live free of violence. That we the people keep a vigilant eye on wrongdoers and make safety and security of women around the world a priority.

Congratulations, Eve Ensler!
As a female, as a student and as a self-proclaimed activist, I have diligently followed your work ever since I was introduced to it 6 years ago as an undergraduate student. I have performed in many campus versions of The Vagina Monologues and look forward to many more opportunities to do so.
I, too, echo the call for a Nobel Peace Prize for Eve Ensler. This will continue to highlight violence against women in a big way, and maybe then we will all make a unified effort to cease the atrocities.
So, once again -- Brava, Eve Ensler! Continue the excellent work!

I'm so thrilled to see Eve Ensler recognized for her outstanding contribution to humanity. I echo the call for her Nobel Peace Prize! I am so privileged to have been a V-Day organizer on a college campus for several years. The work on that project changed my life. This play, this V-Day movement built out of this play, and the sense of doing something about all the atrocities in our world, of being a part of a solution by educating the particular community in which V-Day College Campaign productions are performed - they're huge, tremendous, and so much more than the sum of their parts. Given enough time, enough people, and enough money, Eve Ensler WILL change the world. Let's continue to help her get there.

In a world so cruel, in a continent where shopping as become the epitome of happiness, some people glow with their courage.
Madame Ensler is one of those persons.S he gives hope not only to our sisters in Africa but also to those of us who despair of humanity. I just saw the poweful documentary ARTE made with her in Ghana.I cried and I prayed.I can't forget it....
But it is not only men who are responsible for violence against women. Women do it without weapons. Women tend to be the leaders in perpetuating revictimization in sexual assaults and domestic violence incidents by being the first to blame the victim--any statements that start with, "Well, girls like that..." or "She shouldn't have..." or worse yet--"She should have..." Other women are the psychological assault that perpetuates the atmosphere of violence that Eve is trying to combat. They are the ones who convince victims/survivors that they're wrong, that they're crazy, that they should have done something differently, that they are to be held responsible for the violence inflicted upon them, thus they are the ones--though not only--who continue the violence. I think Eve's doing quite well. She's doing something.

I agree with the writer above who said that Eve Ensler should be awarded the Nobel Peace prize for her tireless and profound work all over the world to stop violence against women. Eve has raised over 50 million dollars to help her cause and offer her life completely to help and heal women all over the world. She is an example of a true humanitarian who has offered her life to be of service to others. Her work in the Congo has been so an inspiration to the world to help stop the insanity there and protect women from the atrocities that are taking place. Eve is a saint and example to us all.

Why can't Eve Ensler name men outright as the agents and beneficiaries of their acts of violence against women? Is it her timidity about clearly identifying men as the people whose power is threatened by empowerment of women that makes her so acceptable around the world? Are we to assume that it is women who treat crimes against women less seriously than crimes against men? As long as Ensler stops short of openly holding men responsible for harming women and trivializing that harm as "sex" and entertainment to which men are entitled, Ensler can only lead women around in circles while the violence continues.
